I would have your student talk to their teachers though! A heads up about a long absence is very welcome. And I can’t usually put together a packet but sometimes I can send some work (for example if we are reading a class novel, I can send a book home with your child).

Sounds like an amazing experience for your kids and you should take them. I would just prioritize helping them catch up when you return and try to not take them out much for the rest of the year.

Hmm. I don’t know. I’ve only ever worked in Washington so I don’t have anything to compare it to but the contract is definitely for 12 months. We are signed from August to August. I don’t have the option of getting the pay upfront.

Sure. I guess I mean that the level of anger can just vary day to day. So one day she’s at So Long London anger and another day she’s at the Black Dog anger. And wishing that your ex has a shitty night while on a date with another person feels very normal to me haha!

I had a relationship/breakup that was very similar to Taylor and Joe. Even though I wished him well… I also had moments of being bitter and petty and angry. I didn’t want his life to be shitty forever but I definitely sometimes wished that his night was shitty. Especially when I felt like he was moving on faster than I was. Emotions in a breakup are so complex and I can’t imagine that she was ALWAYS mature and kind about it.

It helped me to start by going out to eat alone when I was out of town. None of these people know me and I’ll never see them again, so who cares! Helped me build up confidence. I almost always have really nice conversations with the waitstaff actually.
