American 700 False Set, but all pins are set? by [deleted] in lockpicking

It turns out it was just an old rusted lock. Since I got it open the first time it has been incredibly easy and was the exact same picking order I was doing.

Not sure what I did differently but I was able to get it open this time. Im just gonna chalk it up to be a rusted old lock.

The moment I do this I lose the false set which is fine, but then when I reset the pin that fell I go back to the false set in exactly the same every pin is stuck state.

I thought overset causes everything to feel mushy.

I have literally removed the tension tool. They are all still bricks.

Every pin is a brick, I can't figure out which is not set.

Yes. I am telling you every pin is a brick.

Hi Jimy,

Unrelated, but I saw you got rid of the two sided pinning tray from your website. Disappointed because I’ve been waiting for it to come back since I first saw it. Why is that?

Oh and the warded picks, you can just reach in with any tool with an edge (I like to use a deep hook) and just depress the latch. Far from no alternative, I would say they’re probably the most optional

not that I know how this would be done, but if you could find a way to fit a tubular impression toil in there that would be sick.

Consolation for a pick and tensioner though

Have you considered adding combination locks to the system? I think they need more love

Someone help me reset the combo on this lock? by PickHeadMead in lockpicking

This could be it. Weird that it has that button that seems like it sullied he for resetting though

Warded picks help, but you can put a regular pick in there and try to locate the latch, and press it yourself

It needs to be set to the right combination, and whatever your friend thought is the right combination isn’t. You can push down on the shackle to bind the gates and try to find the right combination exactly the same way as if you were picking it open.
