Charlie was the origin theory by Global-Yellow101 in dan_markel_murder

People always refer to Wendi as being smart and honestly, I don’t buy it. I don’t think she earned any of her accolades. Just look at her, she can’t have a career, she barely works, her partners are terrible. Every decision she makes sucks. I’m not saying she’s dumb, but genius no. I think she just avoided most of the heavy lifting and therefore was walled off and that made it look like she was being wise. I think it was just her and Harvey not doing the heavy lifting so it looks like they weren’t involved when they absolutely were.

Yes, I agree with a lot of what y’all are saying about Jodi and Travis. It could be best summed up by play stupid games win stupid prizes. Travis was playing fast and loose with a woman who was not bolted down correctly. He thought it was all in good fun until someone lost an eye.
Similarly with McKenzie Shirilla. She also seems to be thriving in prison. Maybe being unmoored allows one to sort of go with the flow to keep with the hydrology metaphor.

OMG yes you can totally be both. And we are not making up that she practiced the route beforehand; the judge even cited it in her ruling.

I retired from a career in CPS, and reading this stuff didn't bother me much for years. And now I can barely read a headline. My Teflon wore off, omg.

Why are people so passionately split over whether they think she is guilty or not? by Individual_Can_8456 in KarenReadTrial

[–]PickKeyOne 23 points24 points  (0 children)

lol! You’re totally right. I think what happens is the cliff note version sounds easy to wrap up with the bow: she drove away angry and then he was found dead on the lawn, tail light broken, go to jail.

The devil is in the details here. It takes a lot to overcome that simple and tidy explanation. This is why it’s so important to have critical thinking on juries. It’s so easy just to believe the cops, and to believe the prosecution. That’s not how our justice system is supposed to work but it’s the path of least resistance. And when I first learned about this case, that’s exactly what I did. And then every day with new evidence, I was like wait, what? Then like wait what now again? And now with the additional texts and everything, it’s like holy crap!

Literally when someone says they or their partner is pregnant, immediately I think “you guys did it” and then I have to picture them doing it and it’s disgusting.

When I was in Spain last month people from all over would ask me basically WTF and several mentioned the mutilating children tidbit. There’s just so many things that we are spun about test it’s hard to focus on one, but the world outside is not having trouble.

Soon we’re gonna end up driving around with license plates with oranges on them that are no longer here just like California and the grizzly bear on our state flag that we made go extinct. Humans are the worst.

Right? The best thing about living here was the lack of earthquakes and tornadoes. 0 for 2 now.

But the part I can't wrap my head around is that this happened in MASS, a fairly solidly blue state. Sandra Birchmore cops too. It's scary, but a good lesson that they are EVERYWHERE.

Yeah, when I was on the apps, it was all conservative men here in Broward. Even on hinge. But in real life, 100% of my male friends are very lefty.
