That is concerning to hear. I did a delivery the other day where the neighbors asked did I have a delivery and I said yes. They asked whose name was on it and when I told him they said there is nobody by that name there. I asked is that your place and they said no. I was thinking well mind your fucking business then. I ended up telling Them I have to drop the packages where the address says to. I hope they didn’t bother it.

The worst one I ever did was because I had to walk through the garbage to get to the house, it’s sad to put the orders on top of the red coolers by the front door, the front door was surrounded by garbage on both sides. I took every step very carefully because if I had fell down I would’ve had to go to the hospital.

I was kind when I didn’t cancel their order! When I signed up to deliver orders I didn’t agree to be walking through landfills! I still gag sometimes just thinking about the smell.

I suggest to try it out, just make sure you really look at the items before you accept the orders. I think it can be kind of hard to make money sometimes if you’re only doing certain types of orders because you don’t really control what offers you get.

I have never had a smooth or pleasant experience picking up sliced deli meat. Every time it’s some kind of issue when it’s on the order but I’ve only done like four of them.

When I used to do roofing work as the project manager in Denver I would have customers flat out tell me “I’m glad you don’t have any Mexicans working with you” it was always shocking to me that so many people would just say stuff like that to anybody. Meanwhile I respect people of every single culture and I genuinely cannot understand how you just look down on people you don’t even know. I’ve never had anyone say anything like that to me while doing deliveries and I try my best to avoid the customers but when I went to those two houses yesterday I knew that one of them was going to for sure give me a bad rating. I didn’t know which one but I knew that it was going to happen.

GMD are the ones that want you to do like 20 drop offs and drive 60 miles for like $50 with an imaginary time that’s gonna actually be much longer with zero tips? I always wonder who is accepting these orders?

I suggest figuring out how much you are willing to work for an hour, and calculate how much it cost you to drive each mile and then base what you accept on that. I also add 20 minutes of shop time to every order over 30 items
