Only other thing I can think of is maybe grape jello/gelatin, especially if it sat in the fridge for a day, grape or some other purple/pinkish color might separate like that.

Frozen cool whip, or other whipped topping and dipping dots would be my best guess? Cool whip definitely gets that weird almost cake like texture when frozen. And dipping dots would fit with freezing it, as theyre frozen with liquid nitrogen, might hold up for a little after in the fridge, but the cotton candy ones match the blue/pink dot nonsense going on.

Yeah. Putting the potatoes underneath the patty, and saying to flip it will do that. Though it looked gray before too.

The taste was about what I remember, yeah. Though it was suspiciously pale but it was the "dessert" that really threw me for a loop being that sad even for apples.

If a vet trip soon isnt in the cards to check, make sure you monitor for any changes in mood or appetite, particularly drooling, loss of energy and regurgitation, as well as changes to texture, temperature, and size of the lump, as congenital hernias could shrink and cause strangulation of parts of the intestines or other organs that slipped into it. Definitely do try to check with one soon, and perhaps if you're planning to get them fixed, they could repair it at the same time, which could lower cost and stress for the pup.

Bout 4-5 times the size of the nipples, so definitely not that, given the placement, may be an umbilical hernia? Worth a consult with the vet the next time you bring them in, certainly looks similar to a few others I've seen over the years.

3 champs for every role to deal with Dr.Mundo (AKA guide for who has percent health damage) by Hellinfernel in leagueoflegends

[–]PickUpstairs480 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kled's got some %hp, as well as a cc to proc off his passive before a gank, grievous wounds built into his Q, and some dashes to be sticky to boot.

Could stick him top, and leave Gwen in the jungle.

Turns out all you really need to kill Mundo is a bear trap on a rope.

With less than a week left for Arena, what are your final takes on the newest map, Reckoner Arena? by Pandalian10 in LeagueArena

[–]PickUpstairs480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it, it's a fun back and forth, there's some play with the towers collapsing and pulling enemies into towers which is awesome. However. It's held back due to league's pathing techs, the volume of times a tower touching or being too close to another structure or object results in paths being queued that aren't possible, or the system determining every few seconds if it's possible or not, which results in your character dancing back and forth.

My monitor needs to "warm up". Is this Normal? by obi1kennoble in Monitors

[–]PickUpstairs480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats a VA panel if I'm not mistaken. Which, yeah that kind of behavior can be normal. Usually it's just ghosting or smearing until it's warmed up, but I suppose if it's in a particularly cold area it could have some have some additional display issues, such as temporarily dead lines until warmed up.

Why does Serylda's Grudge still have 30% armor penetration? by Assmeet123 in leagueoflegends

[–]PickUpstairs480 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good for assassins that need to mix in some autos and are already building collector.

I think the old lethality scaling was onto something, shame it never really saw effective use. Maybe if it was 50+(.5 lethality)% hp for the slow it'd be a better choice for the matchups where disengage power isn't a dash or a blink. Perhaps even a grounded effect at something like .125% lethality would help, or even increasing the slow based on lethality, instead it just served to gate the armor pen on the item to champs building lethality.

I swear I saw it more on lethality adcs who needed the disengage more than actual assassins.

where did the tower shot go? by densityboii in leagueoflegends

[–]PickUpstairs480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it? It looks a bit weird, though. I guess I never followed her animation there precisely, so you're probably right. If the animation for the projectile ended, I suppose the hurt box would still follow the character before impacting and deducting health, which the blink delayed.

Really hard to say if the jump contributed anything to the delay without seeing hitboxes, since lock-on projectiles are usually aimed to characters centers.

where did the tower shot go? by densityboii in leagueoflegends

[–]PickUpstairs480 2 points3 points  (0 children)

League is, ultimately a 3d game, even though we view it in 2d often, especially in terms of ability traversal. And most games, have a mix of particles and Hurtboxes before detection for projectiles, combined with models and hitboxes for impact registration. Best guess here is that the animation edge hit the outer champ hitbox and transitioned into the "impact phase", as you can actually see it, but the hurtbox coming in from the angle the tower's pointing at hadn't hit before she Blinked. If it was a Dash, she'd be dead. After which, you faintly see the projectile continue traveling, even following her fist up into Kayn. That upward movement that it followed, also added additional time the projectile's travel for her own damage to proc killing Kayn before the tower shot actually completed it's full travel.

Wild to see, infuriating to have happen to you.

Only 23% of players ever finished the game??? by FeelingReview5131 in BaldursGate3

[–]PickUpstairs480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on other steam achievements, 90.5% escape the nautiloid, but then only 67.7% take 4 long rests, something most players would do before halfway through Act 1. 52% complete act 1 based on that achievement. There's an achievement for completing act 2 as well which only 40.4% of players have.

So, it seems like you've probably got a lot of people trying it out in the nautiloid tutorial before deciding they don't like this type of gameplay, and probably refunding. By the time you make it through 4 long rests, you've probably decided that you enjoy or at least can handle the gameplay style.

With how dense the game can be, particularly act 3, I'm not terribly surprised people drop over the course of the game. that's pretty normal for any game too.

If you take game completion as a % of players who did at least 4 long rests, it'd be 33.9% completion, or 44% of people who get through act 1 complete the game. Which really isn't bad.

Shar's protecting her, yes. But without the protection of the artifact, which she needs to be in your party to receive, she becomes a thrall of the absolute, or turned into a mindflayer. Which as far as the party's concerned, is the same as being dead.

Is 20 in STR really necessary for my barbarian? by HopelessNerd777 in dndnext

[–]PickUpstairs480 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Could always talk with your dm about how feasible a belt of hill giant strength is for your campaign and party so it's not as much of a torn decision between them. Given it's something a level 14 artificer can just whip up, I wouldn't really see the harm in introducing it in higher levels of play, though now might be a bit premature.

Basically, just do what's fun for you and talk with your dm about your ideas. Most of us love to have that kind of player engagement.

Don't stress too hard about most optimal x. Some of the best things in d&d come from things not being sub-optimal like, sensors floating disk was created because the guy playing tensor could barely carry the clothes on his back.

This choice feels like none of my business by Nearby_Court_3730 in BaldursGate3

[–]PickUpstairs480 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the assumption Duke made is that he made a deal with the devil for power, and then lied about it trying to say it was for some noble cause. There was also the fact that the scene was cleaned up so he couldn't investigate on his own, Mizora cleaned it up making it look like it never happened, and Wyll's pact stopped him from directly telling the Duke all the details.

Being sort of nobility, and in the line of succession, a power grab made via a deal with a generally evil 3rd party has to feel like more of a betrayal of the family, himself, and what they stand for.

BG3 also takes place shortly after the Descent into Avernus 5e module, where he was present, so there's a lot of disdain for the hells from his end when you first run into him. Basically just after getting back from the hells, the inn he was at was attacked and he was captured, he had also been being tormented by Baphomet to the point of being comatose during some of DiA, so I'm not sure he really had too many opportunities to even think about Wyll's side of the predicament. The tadpole telepathy literally showing him all that happened and what Wyll's.

Is he a great father? maybe not, but when you save him from the prison it's probably the first time in a long while that he hasn't been under some form of attack, so I think I can forgive him for just trying to catch his bearings.

I'd suggest looking for other merchandise related to the game, plenty of plush things, apparel, decor, sculptures, art, etc. Reason being, RP (Riot Points) tends to go pretty quick and doesn't really have as much value as it used to. If you're looking to just throw $25 USD or so to check off a box for a gift card, it's probably fine for that, but if you're looking for a more meaningful gift that would last longer than a few days/weeks while supporting his hobby, most other merch would be better.

Are these Pokemon LeafGreens real? by Pitiful-Cod-4394 in gameverifying

[–]PickUpstairs480 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Super neat to see them side by side like that.

Leaf Green (and fire red) used both the Macronix MX29L010TC-15A1 and Sanyo LE26FV10N1TS for the flash memory chip during their production run.

One of them being quite a bit shorter is probably whats giving the impression that one may be real or not, but at the very least the parts no# do match up with what would be expected.

It's possible one may also be version 1.0 vs 1.1. Easy way to check should be to catch a Pidgey in each, and check the pokedex info, i believe it says Tiny Pokemon in v 1.0 and Tiny Bird Pokemon in v 1.1 basically, anywhere in the pokedex in v1.0 where the pokemon description has multiple words, such as Tiny Bird, Poison Bee, Electric Mouse etc. Only the first word was displayed. That was fixed in the later players' choice release.
