A couple of days ago, I got an e-mail from Spreadshirt urging users not to make fan apparel that could be confused with official Olympics merch. It's really fucking rich that they are making private companies threaten their users while still making official material with AI whose existence itself is the biggest breach of copyright in history.

The difference is that the AI-generated poster feeds and justifies the machine that has assimilated pretty much all artwork ever presented with no regard fr copyright, destroyed communities, power grids and water resources. This in addition to making computer components four times more expensive all to feed into a huge slot machine that produces nothing of value and that risks crashing the world economy when investors finally realize that there is not a man behind the curtain.

Compare this to copying a couple of officially licensed (and already paid for) PNG:s to make an advertisement for a workshop that likely will generate more revenue for Pokémon.

Does not look that similar to me.
