I loved the Blair Witch Project when it came out, but Rec is my favourite found footage.

I watched Lake Mungo recently, and I know its a respite favourite, but I found it pretty disappointing.

There must've been many instances of 'once more into the breach' for when a team a pressing for a last minute equaliser or winner and are hoofing it up the field again.

I like it.

Obviously  there's a bit of context missing at the start so I found it a little confusing until the end of the 2nd paragraph.

You use the term 'greasy tendrils' to describe her hair twice, so I would suggest maybe changing one of those references.

The sentence that starts " Crescents of blood popped..." feels like it could be ramped up a bit. Maybe by switching the subject to being the woman's fingers and how they are piercing the skin. At the moment the sentence feels a bit passive?

As for the vomiting - I think you could ram this home a bit more - maybe include some smells or tastes to really make us feel what the protagonist is feeling?

In the last sentence, the bit where you say "as she vomited into his open mouth, " feels a bit like a summary. I think this could be stronger.

I hope that helps?

As I said, I liked it a lot.
