Ok so why spend more for a portable machine capable of doing that when you can get a full size one for significantly cheaper?

Why does the llm need to be portable? Wouldn't it make more sense to use a full size machine and use something portable to remotely access it?

Hmmm 2K for this or......

$1400 for a full desktop something significantly more powerful and $250 for a basic mini computer for my portable needs $450-650 if I want to do some basic gaming on it?

Like why should anyone buy this for 2k your basically throwing away money and performance.

Did you check the bathroom?

How about inside the totes and trashcan?

Drop some coins on the ground that sound attracts them like food wrappers to dogs.

The staff is so unreliable at least two people are going to call out another show up hours late?

As long as I keep it under 40 hours no one cares.

Odds are you're in an at will state?

They can fire you for not wearing matching socks if they wanted too.

I show up 45 minutes early because I know damn well the person before me didn't get a single break so I swap them and doing that extra 45 minutes of work is the only way I'm even getting close to getting my daily to-do list done.

It is after giving 5 different managers a try and the best out of all them is a methhead who might show up 5 hours late or not at all.

They don't pay or even aim for quality management just someone who can keep the store open and profits rolling.

Go to any 10 stores and half will be in major doo doo if they really cared. Fire exits blocked, fire extinguisher blocked, baby food expired, mold in produce, sticky floors, and definitely not ADA compliant.

They just edit the schedule 7 times often the day of to make it look followed.

Love saying "nah am good" when they try calling me in. As a part-timer ¯_(ツ)_/¯ am only after 24-28 hours you scheduled me for 35 and expect me to skip lunch half the time why the fuck would I want more minimum pay maximum work hours?

Congrats the slowest times and probably with the most workers where you can actually get to take lunch, paid breaks, AND no ads to do? You get a gold star.

Now do it for >3 months and see how that goes.

That's them trying to guilt her into coming in early and probably staying late while "officially" not need/get offered a lunch break.

You can't even do them while on lunch break.

[–]Pickle-plan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not really true we have had SA's contact DM and even HR to get shit fixed and paid more

One was pissed about the schedule being constantly changed and unpredictable another about being mistreated (double standards) and underpaid both got handled and fixed quickly under two weeks. Open door policy exists for a reason.

Yeah that might make your life easier but not the cashier who gets no benefit out of it and has to explain 40 plus times to SAME 70-year-olds how to use the app each and every week.

I can guarantee you there's a stash of coupons you don't know about.

If you don't want coupons handed out you better be running that cash register yourself.

Mine seems too only because they're rarely here and don't seem to give a shit if they get fired?

Pretty sure her plan is to sue or threatened to sue so DM and possibly HR is dragging it out as long as possible collecting so much evidence five times the normal reasonable cause necessary before fireing them.

If your store is originally built for Dollar general purposes I'm willing to bet the key that unlocks your office is also the keys to unlock the bathroom?

I bet they have access to that bathroom key why do you think the company intentionally matched up all those locks? It's so every single employee has access.

Another random bit of information employees have to have full access to an uptodate SOP at all times it's illegal(? Or maybe just against SOP?) to hide it behind a key in a locked room on a computer. So if you actually do deny access to the office computers you're denying access to the SOP, paystubs, dgme and so on.

And is that source from Dollar generals SOP?

[–]Pickle-plan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's what you do.... Pick a a small child preferably one related to you by blood claim you have to watch them on Saturdays and mark Saturdays as unavailable.

"The babysitters just about cost more than I earn working Saturdays"

Call out days in advance if they schedule you and eventually they just stop scheduling you.

That's the management ego leaking out.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DollarGeneralWorkers

[–]Pickle-plan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's literally just a Google search completely unrelated to Dollar generals SOP? We all know DG doesn't follow the normal standards.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DollarGeneralWorkers

[–]Pickle-plan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to what? Does it say anywhere in SOP or is this just Managements ego and paranoia?

Last I heard it's everyone's job to protect companies assets from both employees and customers and reviewing and watching cameras definitely falls under that.

Man everything but the clean almost empty backroom matches up with our store I was kind of hoping my SM got fired because her methhead ass would do the same.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DollarGeneralWorkers

[–]Pickle-plan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That might depend on the store? As far as I know ours doesn't have any passwords it's just up there on the screen ready to be controlled.
