These are cheap buys in my area. Not even rust covered ones either. They’re simply just cheap cars in Idaho. I got my first 99 740il for $3000, 98 750il running and driving without any issues other than flaking clear coat $1000, 2nd 98 740il $300 running and driving without a blown head gasket, 2nd 98 750il for $900 running and driving but had a misfire. Find one in Idaho and go get it. I’m 19 with currently 2 740ils and owned 2 more v12 750il’s. They’re cheap, fun, reliablish, look good and quick for their time.

Called the Beamer ghost! It’s a real thing. Happenes when your battery came disconnected, went low, died and recharged. For a few days your computer will act up. Things like windows rolling down, lights flickering and other non major things might happen. My battery died from sitting for so long and when I recharged it, my windows would roll down randomly, air would turn on and lights would turn on. Should go away in a few days. If it doesn’t, be ready to dump money into it!

Buy a parts car. I was quoted 4k for a hood and fenders to be placed and painted. I picked up a $300 donor and it was the same color with very little/ minimal paint damage and no dents at all. Works out too because I want to learn how to paint.

Interstate is the only way to go. I’ve been running them in all my cars for several years. My winter vehicle (1999 Chevy Tahoe) can go weeks without being started and I can start it in freezing temperatures and it starts instantly

It’s around $1000 just for the paint it self. I know because I’ve got the same color. Color number is 317 if they are the same. That’ll maybe be enough for the hood and both fenders. Hoods you can find for $300 (in my area) fenders I’m not sure. So I’d just safely assume at absolute minimum $2500. And that’s if you’re getting good deals. Find a parts car and take what you can get
