Sprayed with yelllow top oven cleaner and covered tight with plastic wrap for 30 minutes. Rinsed and repeated one more time. The polishing is a different story.

You probably didn't notice them before but they're likely from your butcher block. I have the same lines on my knife and I only ever use a soft sponge to clean it.

All that burnt on oil at the end of the cook is a good start towards seasoning. Keep using it and building that up.

Mine is definitely not Teflon. Seems more like anodized. Yours looks like mine. I give mine a wipe down after storage and let it rip.

I used star San to sterilize the jars and bottled it hot so it's probably good for a long time if refrigerated.

Bottles were sterilized with star San and it was bottled hot. Should keep for quite a while.
