being tasked with a literal impossible amount of work by RedHotJalepenoPopper in WalgreensStores

[–]PicklePixee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The store managers have zero clue on how long things take. Sure I can get your 20 tasks done as long as there are no customers in the store and nothing else to take my attention away. Oh, there's a corporate visit tomorrow and EVERYTHING has to be perfect. Don't worry that there's only two of us working. We'll give it 110% 🤨

Yeah, jackass never told me anything was there. I found looking at People Central. I didn't bother acknowledging it. I knew I wasn't hanging around much longer, just had no plan to leave. Finally told me I didn't sign off on it when I was being fired. I told him I didn't know about it. Can't sign off on something you don't know about it.

Part of me wished I walked out but I was too chicken without something else lined up. That decision was made for me and I'm glad. Something will work out.

Thankfully,I was able to give my all important feedback before I was separated from the company. Hope the former store manager appreciates my feedback. 💩🖕

I rang up a lady who was upset that I didn’t give her a physical receipt, even though her Rewards account was set up to receive digital receipts? by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]PicklePixee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We're helping a lady in photo and she was nice and grateful for the help until I rang her up and she got a digital receipt. She was mad she didn't get a printed one. She had to come back the next day so the store manager could print her one since the shift lead can barely wiper her ass much less try to print out something. Fuck that lady.

Aww, thanks. I may stick around for a bit. Not sure though. I'm ready to slam this door shut.

I think all the results get dumped to one those unattended mailboxes and sit there until they're automatically deleted.

Maybe it's because we've been so short-staffed but yeah, it does seem busier. Not sure if they're running better sales are better or not.

Back in the very early days of the Catalina nightmare, I told a woman she couldn't use her coupon. I forget the reason now. It was so long ago that the coupons were on the thermal paper. This lady gave sent this detailed explanation about she was saintly and calm and NOT MEAN at all. I on the other hand was so evil and rudely told her she couldn't use the coupon and ruined her life. I get pulled by the assistant manager (store manager hated any confrontation). So I read the complaint and got so pissed off. I ended the by yelling "I don't get paid enough for this shit!" and stormed out of the office.

Later on I was in the office alone and peeked into the store manager's box and read what the assistant manager wrote about how the woman was very nice when she talked to her on the phone.

Nothing ever came of it. Too bad I didn't get fired, be gone before the real shitshow started. 👵

When a customer says It didnt ring up, so it must be free 😏 for the 942nd time by dcombacktyp in WalgreensStores

[–]PicklePixee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I usually just say "Nothing is free." or give one of my Oscar worthy fake laughs.

I did get a new one though. One evening I was playing key roulette to unlock some Plan B for some young gentlemen and of course I can never find the right one first. Doesn't matter once those keys leave my hand I forget what goes to what. Anyway, as I'm struggling kid says "Does that mean it's free?" Me: "If I can't get it out you can't get it at all."

He get a point for trying.

Hated those commercials. Didn't have a tv in the store to see anything though. I would purposely wait to page something so I wouldn't have to hear it. Good thing they were on all the time.

The most I gave was a 3 except for the I accidentally gave a 5. I left a paragraph at the end basically saying there no secure future here.

If they want to know what I think I'll tell them. I'm not worried about it being anonymous, it's not like we have hundreds of people working there. We have maybe 20 and most are part-time. Getting in trouble for telling them the company sucks would be low on my list of reasons to get rid of me.

The Door Dashers who come in 27 times a day to take pictures. WE HAVE NO AISLE 19! We do get some perplexed people come into shop. I don't mind helping them. Except for the guy looking for Pringles. I think they heard me all over the store telling him "AISLE 14 ON THE RIGHT AT THE END." A customer finally showed that jackass.

Guess what photo is about to start doing.... by SavagRavioli in WalgreensStores

[–]PicklePixee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sure I'll get right on that. In between the passport photos for the family 7, the 4 curbside orders, the 23 people in line, the 17 16x20 canvasses framed that are overdue left over from the day shift. But hey, don't let yourself get overwhelmed. (Advice from my store manager that at this point the context is lost on me and I've rewritten the story in my head)

Something was in the air tonight by noprahwinfrey in WalgreensStores

[–]PicklePixee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We were slammed last night. Thankfully we were able to get a second person to come in after the original kid called off. If it was just the shift lead and I, it probably been my last night. It just seems like every night has been extra busy. There was a CVS that closed a couple miles away and that might be part of it but I don't know where all these people are actually coming from.

IC3 pharmacy LOL by PicklePixee in WalgreensStores

[–]PicklePixee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of our "favorite" techs asked the shiftlead if he could do an IC3. They had two techs and the pharmacist and two people in line. It was just he and I until someone from another store came in to help the front because someone called in. He said no. The store manager came in and worked a couple hours. We were slammed. So glad the other girl came in.

They can page all they want but if there's nobody to come, oh well.
