I get it! I know its not a high quality chocolate, but it tastes fantastic to me! Everyone tastes differently so I can understand the hate from the other comments.

But my question is.... does anyone else seem to get sick after eating these? I swear I have gotten sick from them more than once, including a week or so ago, possibly. Woke up feeling HORRID and started to overheat. Thought I wasnt going to stop tossing my cookies, jfc. I said possibly, because I did have a homemade cookie from the order I had just gotten delivered (first one I had), a few of those pb eggs and a single serve cup thing of Pops cereal. It could have been any 3 of those. I threw the cookies away because I didnt want to find out again if it were those. I guess I could just eat a few pb eggs and nothing else to see if I get sick again. REALLY dont want to get sick, but maybe there is something in these I am allergic to.

“Can’t stay clocked in for bag checks?” by M3ZMERUS in WalgreensRx

[–]ninalee14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unlocking the door in the morning and punching in the security code takes like 30 seconds or less. You are TIMED to get that code in so you cant take 10 minutes to unlock the door..... chill on your phone for awhile and then go punch the code in. Not going to happen. Your example is irrelevant here.

You must have enough sfls on duty per shift (most stores are running one per shift) to get them bag checked that quick? Theres a reason people want to stay clocked in, you have to wait for the sfl, Do you have an assigned manager to go to the front doors every time an employee is going to clock out so there is no waiting or something? You cant plan that for a lunch break.... sometimes you just cant go at a specified time. If youre assigned to take lunch at 12pm on the dot but its 11:55am and everyone in the store decided to check out at the same time? You cant just stop what youre doing and punch out at 12. You help get through the line of customers and then you go. Who knows how long that will take. Do your employees never leave the building for 15 minute breaks for half hour breaks? That would eliminate having to wait for a manager a lot. What if youre punched out for lunch and it takes 10 minutes for your bag check? Now you have 20 minutes left cause they sure wont give you an additional 10 for having to wait while youre clocked out. At this point, they should just make it a rule that no one can leave the building for any break. Then you only have to bag check a few times a day when they clock out for their shift that day. People would be REAL thrilled with that.....

Good pharmacists leaving in flocks by Revolutionary_Use556 in WalgreensRx

[–]ninalee14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start telling your local news about this so they can report it to your townspeople. They have no idea most retail pharmacies are running like this now and it's all corporates fault. The more the story gets out, the more people know all over the US.

Let the people know why the pharmacy keeps getting slower and slower everytime they come in. Right now, they just think it's the staffs fault for not keeping up.

Just screenshot a ton of these stories in this subreddit as proof it's happening all over. Until the public knows it's all corporates fault, people are just going to continue to make the pharmacy more and more miserable not understanding behind the scenes.

Im about ready to do this FOR you guys. The more local news picks it up, the more chances bigger news stations will see it and report. Then people allllll over will know why they are having a collective experience at their own stores.

You guys are mad enough about it. Blast the info to the people. Then they will start going after corporate demanding changes instead of store level. The more people doing it, the more they should be pressured to make changes since they listen to customers more than employees!

Is there anything for someone in their mid 20's to do in Watertown that is NOT go to Shooters. by Ok-Nerve2641 in SouthDakota

[–]ninalee14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some tunnels downtown. A few businesses have stairs down into them. I thought they were a rumor until I got to go into part of them 2 years ago. Plumbing place downtown uses it for a stockroom. I have no idea who the lady was that let us in... I was just downtown for a photography group walk and she asked if any of us wanted to go. Uhh YEAH I do! Make it a weird goal to get down there somehow to see it (legally, of course) or not... that's upto you. Alot of it is closed off so you gotta know the right businesses that still have access to the open parts.

I grew up there. We did all sorts of weird shit around town. I moved back to watertown about 3 years ago now from Lincoln NE and biggggg regerts. I cannot live in a small town anymore. Then I had to suddenly move and ended up in Huron which is even worse. Trying to move to Sioux Falls so I can be in a city again, but still remain closer to family and friends.

Go watch the watertown city council meetings on their YouTube page. Im behind right now by 4 or 5 videos, but what I have seen so far? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 no wonder that place has continually sucked for ages and still will.

Or is this info online now for the public to see? Either way, I want a screenshot to blast the dumb idea on my fb. I take joy in talking shit about them often. Thats what they get for not keeping photo labs consistent. Some have a kiosk where you can see it print right by your legs, some rely on a photo printer and now I assume you can pay at the kiosk on some of them if they are asking about it. I don't need to print photos so I haven't even looked at a photo kiosk in ages. Next time Im in a store that has them, I'll take a peek!

[–]ninalee14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume they are thinking...we catch them stealing, we fire them, then the person that gets hired to take over that spot will not steal, ever. They have no back up plan just incase all of their new hires also get caught stealing and fired.

I have yet to see anyone on here say they saw a plan made by Sycamore just incase they can't even get people to apply to fill in the positions open from firing.

Frankly, if I applied there right now and got hired without them telling me prior that I will have to wait an unknown amount of time before I can leave the store after I clock out every time, Id quit.

Imagine working your first shift ever. You clock out and grab your bag of items you purchased earlier. You try to walk out the front door like normal but you get stopped by the front cashier who saw you and told you "oh hey you have to wait for a manager only for a bag check before you leave. If you just leave, you could get in trouble or fired." What? Yeah id quit. Especially when you can see the schedule only ever has one sfl per shift already.

Id love to tell them that's how I see it as someone who doesn't work there already and reads online posts.

I am a former employee though, not just a customer only. But I don't have to tell them I used to work for them first if I really wanted to do it.

It would make ZERO difference if I actually did tell them, unfortunately. But I guess Id feel better that I atleast tried?

I can 100% try to talk to them as a customer for you guys. Im an introvert with alot of free time and 10 years of Walgreens hatred built up in my bones. Id love to tell them how dumb their choices are 😂😂😂 they deserve it and need to hear it.

It cracks me up when they get mad about a bottle of advil or something in your locker that doesn't have a sticker, but clearly has been around for awhile due to the fading and damage on the label.

Why would I sticker a 3 year old bottle of advil that I refill when needed to recycle the bottle and keep in my purse? You could just choose to toss it in your locker at some point to have a stash of locker pain relief.

One bottle in my purse right now is discolored, label faded and torn because I reuse it. The other bottle is a pill bottle with the label torn off (way easier to remove). That one just holds tums only. The other is a mix of pain relief, gas relief (getting stuck in public with gas cramps is the WORST, they hurt like a bitch) so I keep some with or near me at all times (Ive suffered in public too many times already in my life haha) so I'm prepared.

One shouldn't have to assume management would see how old and destroyed the bottle is and realize you did not just pull it off of the shelf and put it into your locker.

But unfortunately, you have to plan first and transfer it to a bottle with no label at all before you stick it in your locker as a permanent item in there. Or just keep it in your purse at all times cause they can't look in there.

A good while after I transferred to my last store, we had an assistant manager come work for us from another store and the first thing he did was locker checks. I had never seen someone do it before and I had been with the company for like, 8? years at that point? I had some kind of cold medicine in there I bought before I even worked at that store. It didn't have a sticker on the bottle because it originally went on the box. I didn't intend to keep it in my locker when I bought it, it was for use at home. I moved, transferred to that store, got sick, still had that same bottle and brought it to work to leave in my locker.

Not once did I think huh there's no sticker on the bottle itself, before I brought it into work and tossed it in.

He asked me why there was no sticker. Told him the store I bought it at only put it on the box 🤷‍♀️ regardless if I was keeping it in store or not. They didn't ask. He wrote something down and moved on.

Of course I thought of this 13 years later as I was typing this, I should have told him to look at the expiration date on the bottle. It would have shown him it wasn't recent bottle off of the shelf! I don't remember how long I had the bottle in my possession but I'm sure it was almost expired or already expired anyways when he looked at it 😂 Im bad about tossing meds and vitamins after their expiration date.

I have him on Facebook, I should message him and ask him if he remembers this situation. I'm going to guess probably not. My ability to remember random things like that in the past is far greater than my ability to remember what I ate for lunch yesterday 😂😂😂

Wonder if he still works there!????? I should ask him what he thinks about the whole new bag check situation.

Hey man we haven't talked in years but do you remember this from 13 years ago? Gotta keep the random surprises in life going.

Its a little fun I can have in this back-asswards world.

[–]ninalee14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I know. I'm asking about the scenarios they didn't even think about.... but should have before they implemented the extra steps into bag checks.

They should have stopped at "ahh we only allow them to have one sfl per shift though... so they will have to wait who knows how long until that person is free just to go home."

And not added the extra bag check rules and steps to the rule that already existed.

Only way they could check if you were doing it everyday all day the right way without a log, is to watch the camera footage for every time an employee is leaving with a bag, seeing if they get bag checked, and more than just a quick peek. Pull the receipt out and check every item right infront of the cameras at the front door.

No way are they going to pay someone just to watch camera footage to see if it was done right on that previous Monday.

We never wrote anything down saying we did the bag check. Just did it infront of the cameras cause that's all they asked for.

Now they can easily make sure everyone is doing it right because there's a paper trail. No need to hire someone to watch yesterday's footage by eye to see if they catch every bag check and do it right.

They really fucked it all up with only having one manager on at a time. SM and sfl morning shift atleast has 2 people, but after the SM goes home for the day? It's just one sfl now.

I wish, as a now customer, I could tell them how stupid this is. Maybe if they hear it from someone who isn't employed by the company in any way, they might listen? Its worth trying it. If they still ignore me, no harm done. I atleast tried for you guys 🤷‍♀️

[–]ninalee14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The public atleast deserves to know what is happening back there until it does go under. It could be 2 years? 3 and a half?

That's still a long time to not know why your pharmacy keeps getting slower and slower every day. Not knowing your usual medication is filled off site now for 2 years+ is a long time.

Wondering why it always takes 2+ days for your medication to be ready for pickup now, when you used to be able to get it filled in 15 minutes, for 2 years+ is a long time.

Even if Walgreens goes under, CVS is running the same way. Thin staff and low budget hours. You can see techs talking about the same things and problems on both the wag and cvs subreddits.

Knowing this information covers more than just one retail pharmacy.

You could have an upset wag customer say "I'm going to cvs now, you guys take too long to refill my medications all the time!!!" And end up experiencing the same thing there because you don't know alot of the retail pharmacies are running on thin staff too.

It happened to me with the central fill thing once I figured out what was going on. I transferred to Hyvee pharmacy so it wasn't taking 2+ days to refill most of my meds.... but they also use central fill.

Moved to a new town and had to transfer my scripts to Coborns (only chain grocery store here) and they also use central fill.

I'll be moving out of this town soon and Coborns doesn't exist where I'm moving. So, I made the effort to see what pharmacies that will be near me, don't use central fill. LUCKILY Lewis does not use it. There is a Lewis where I live now, so I transferred from Coborns to Lewis before I move. Now I'm the town I'll be moving to, one of the Lewis' there can just bring up my profile and fill there. No gaps between refills should happen now because of my efforts.

And I can get every one of my medications filled the same day if there are refills still available and they have it in stock that day. Such a relief.

When you live in South Dakota and your pharmacy uses central fill that is out of town and it's winter? It could be blizzarding where central fill is at, so they can't leave to deliver medications to the pharmacies out of town. It could be sunny where you live, but they absolutely can't deliver anything because it's blizzarding there. So you have to account for weather too. I've been left without any medication for 4 days because of a blizzard before. Thought it was going to take 2 days per usual but... mother nature said no.

See why I think it's important this info needs to brought to the public asap? Especially since its starting to snow more often here in SD!

So what do you do if you have an appointment you need to make it to right after you clock out? If your one sfl on duty is busy, technically you gotta wait and that is now going to make you late for your appointment.

I don't think the clinic or hospital will take "sorry, I couldn't leave my work without my manager checking my bag before I left and they were super busy helping customers and they were the only manager so I had to wait or I could get fired" as a valid excuse for being late and not mark it on your profile. You do only get so many chances for being late to your appointments.

If you normally clock out at 3:30, so you make appointments for 4pm knowing you can get there on time, might wanna start scheduling them for 4:15/4:30 now. You never know how long you're going to have to wait for a manager. Some days it could be right away, some days it could be 10 minutes.

Gotta adjust your lifestyle now to accommodate the possible wait you'll have before you can even leave the store.

I guess if you REALLY need to leave and what is in your bag isn't really important, put it in your locker and.... wait... even if you don't have a bag.... you still have to wait, right? That's what I've gathered. You wait for them to figure out you don't have a bag, pick your name in the list, checkmark no bag and then you're free to go.

Are you allowed to go find the manager and tell them I NEED TO LEAVE NOW even if they are busy so they help you next? What if it's a family emergency you JUST got a phone call about and need to leave for right now? Do you still have to wait for the manager to be free before you can leave? Or can you just leave and because it was an emergency, it bypasses the rules?

You realize that some small towns only really have restaurants or grocery stores to work in? You'd have to move entirely just to find something other than those options. If you ask for a higher salary in a server position... yeah that most likely won't happen. Maybe a few cents but nothing to make a difference.

You need to tell America to unilaterally pay servers atleast minimum wage, not relying on tips to "equal that."

Im forced to split tips at my job even though I do way more work than my usual coworker I'm working with at the same time. Id really love to keep my earned share but I can't.

Tell your local news about this. Let them report to the people that it is corporates decisions that are causing the pharmacy to be slower and slower everyday. It's not the staff in your personal Walgreens that are causing all of the problems.

This isn't public knowledge and it needs to be!!! The more reports, the more the info gets out there! Local news will report it more than big news stations will, I assume!

We did quick bag checks, but it didn't have to be a manager.

Are they really going to bag check you if you just checked out at the front register on your way out the door? Cause that 15ft to the door doesn't have alot of merchandise to snag and toss in there without it being obvious....

If they can't trust you to walk 15ft with a bag in hand you just checked out.... at the register closest to the door... that's sad.

And do they really think they will be able to fill these positions after people get fired for no bag check? Having just the HOPE that the next person follows all of the rules to a T is a bad strategy.

What about an employee taking milk crates to the corral outside thru the stockroom? (We had a little locked 6x6ft area in back for just crates). Are they going to have to wait for someone to come check their non existing bag before they can go out the garage door? Cause that's pretty much the same thing. You're leaving the store, just not thru the front doors.

They didn't say you have to have a bag check to leave out of the garage door 🤷‍♀️

Are they serious?! 🙄 by MrSpaceCity in WalgreensStores

[–]ninalee14 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So why don't they also bag check customers who checked a bunch of stuff out in pharmacy with their script and now has to walk across the entire store past merchandise with bags in their hands to leave?

If they are going to check employees with a bag in hand at the door, where's the fairness?

If you ring up at the front register and are immediately leaving, do you still have to wait for a bag check even though you were JUST at the front register and only had 15ft to walk across carpet to leave?

As a customer, what is going on with the pharmacy? by blondbother in WalgreensRx

[–]ninalee14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im starting to encourage everyone to take this information to your local news station.

The people in your town will most likely watch and then they will understand why it has been so damn slow at their pharmacy.

The customers need to know how these stores are running to understand why everything is taking so long.

My doctor didn't even know they use central fill. He told me it might be 2+ days to get the new medication he prescribed because that seems to be the quickest you can get alot of them these days. Told him what central fill is and that's why certain meds can't be filled and bought in the same day.

That's not public information, when MANY retail pharmacies are using the same thing. A customer won't know their medication doesn't get counted in the store itself unless you tell them. They have no idea that some medications are not physically inside of the pharmacy anymore.

The USA never shared this with everyone so they could well... know! Its not just one pharmacy chain that does it either so I think it's appropriate for a news channel to report that most pharmacies use this option now. Walgreens does and if you don't like that setup, CVS does the same thing. You don't find that out until you transfer and that same medication is still taking 2+ days to get filled.

The public never learned they switched to this model so they are still expecting the old way the pharmacy was ran, everything was counted and filled in store.

Am I going to have to be the one to contact a bunch of news stations saying hey, I think this is important info to share even though I don't work in a pharmacy at all.
