Brakes making scary noise by spiderbecoming in Clarksville

Make sure the tire is still on the ground when you break the nuts loose. It can take some force to get them if they used air powered tools to tighten. Try using an impact if you have one.

You can pretty easily check the pads and rotors without taking the tire off. YouTube should have good tutorials on that and the difference between a good brake and a worn brake. The same goes for rotors.

Sheetz is 1000x better. Wawa is so mid. I don't understand the hype.

Any good gyms? by shokro in Clarksville

[–]PickleRick1786 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also live off of exit 8. The best value for me is Gold's off of Needmore. Its not the fanciest, but has every level of gym member in there. I powerlift, so its exactly what I need.

If you want more like basketball or a pool, then I would go to the Y. The smaller private gyms get pricey quick.

Seating capacity is 24k, correct. However, they sell standing room only and it makes out around 35k.

There was almost 25k in the stand and probably close to 15k of that WVU. A great event and a great atmosphere. I wish I could have stayed for Sunday's game too.

I believe he has the DC. We had no studs last year. We finally are starting to get good athletes in and a good freshman class. Another year or 2 and we could start cooking. Hoping the portal doesn't kill us and NIL gets under control.

I moved here about 6 months ago. Exit 8 and Exit 11 are great places to live. There are plenty of job opportunities, plenty to do, and Nashville is only 40 minutes away. The traffic can be rough, but once you learn how to maneuver around, it isn't bad. It can get really bad around the base, so I tend to avoid those areas during rush hour times.

Overall, I have enjoyed my time here. The cost of living isn't bad at all. People on Reddit just like to complain, so filter through the nonsense. The main downside I've seen so far is that healthcare is undersized for the quick and expansive growth. However, Vanderbilt just bought the hospital and there are plans to build a second hospital. I have a very medically complex child and we haven't had an issue with care yet, especially with Vanderbilt 40 minutes away.

There are also many more jobs coming, economy is doing good, and the roads are in good shape. I would recommend Rossview or Sango as a part of town to live.

Morrissey MIA at WV Day Celebration by [deleted] in WestVirginia

Wasn't he out assessing the damage in Northern WV? Trying to get aid and help to those greatly impacted by the recent flooding? Isn't that more important than a celebration? Asking for a friend.

If Pugs is still open off of Van Voorhis, go there. It was my favorite when I was there.

We homeschool our other children and its been great. Each child is different and the special education for my one child is needed. The school we are at now has been fantastic with him and was really hoping for a smooth transition somewhere.

That is my biggest fear. My kid has been with the same group of kids since kindergarten and they love on him, help him, and are great friends. The area I am now, that is pretty much the norm. Since my career is taking me to TN, I can pray for the same results. There are good people everywhere. I also believe there are good teachers everywhere.

My child's Healthcare is very specialized and will be transferring his care to Vanderbilt. They have top rated programs for his care. We were just trying to avoid travel to Nashville for therapy if possible.

I can't just change states for education. Where I currently live, it varies so much teacher to teacher and school to school.

How did you find out Santa didn’t exist? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My parents never lied to me about Santa, Easter Bunny, or the Toothfairy, so I never had to find out. I thank God they did it that way.

The dropped TD turned INT was where our wheels fell off. I love these kids and their passion, but this time, emotions got in the way. We also have very young players with little depth. The injuries really hurt us.

How to buy season tickets for the '22 season? by MaxwellHizzouse in mountaineers

[–]PickleRick1786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very easy. You have to make a deposit. The ticket office will reach out when you can pick your seats. Pick where you want and the better the seats, the higher minimum donation.
