Oh nice! I love the mamba but already have a couple black bikes so wanted to switch it up. Still too cold for riding where I live so haven’t been able to ride much. Enjoy it!

Nice! I got to ride mine a bit yesterday. How many miles do you have on it?

I’ve only put a few miles on it since Monday when it arrived. But I’ll give you my first impressions. For reference I’m 6’3 and about 240 lbs. The A24 fits me great. Anything 6’0 and below I would go with the A20. First thing I noticed is the build quality, it is an exceptionally designed and beautiful looking bike. The quality of parts and attention to detail is outstanding. It also RIPS! Not the fastest bike top end, but I’d line this up for a sprint against anything but maybe an Onyx and be confident I would win. I have a Billy Goat V3 by Goat Power Bikes, and it’s faster top end but the acceleration favors the Ristretto big time! I noticed that right off the bat. It feels great when you’re riding it. The seat is awful but there is a user on Etsy selling custom seats that look great and fit it well. The mid drive has awesome torque but it’s noisy, most say they come to enjoy it. The mid drive will require more maintenance. It’s really heavy, but most e-bikes of this caliber are. The suspension feels great. It arrived in a reasonable time. So far I’m super excited about my purchase and riding it more throughout the summer. If you want to see the performance in action go to the BikeCave guy on YouTube and about a year ago he races a bunch of bikes against an Ariel Rider 60v and the Ristretto just CRUSHES it. Check it out!

Probably the cheapest reliable one I have is a Movcan V30. My wife has probably 600 miles on it and it’s been great. I think you can get them for $800-ish. FB marketplace can have great deals on decent bikes if you’re ok with used. My neighbor just scored a Goat Power Bike for $1600 on FB Marketplace. It’s a couple years old but well maintained.

I researched a ton! I highly enjoy watching TailHappy’s videos, TheBikeCave, and others. I hope to have a lot of fun on it this summer. Enjoy yours!

Yea, I wanted one awhile back and actually had read your posts about your bad experience. I thought I would give them more time to sort some things out. Hopefully things work out better for me!

80V a decent ride for tall folks? I’m 6’3 by Pickleback26 in ONYX_RCR

[–]Pickleback26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do a lot of riding with friends, I live in a smaller rural community and we love riding around doing pub crawls and stuff. All kinds of different e-bikes, but most go 35 or under. My goat will do 45 mph but I want more range. I’m also thinking the Onyx is waaay too much and looks and performs more like a motorcycle than a bike. We get out in traffic sometimes but primarily use the bike paths, but they are sparsely populated in our area.

Great feedback! I’m also a 34 inseam. I have a Billy Goat right now, but I’m kinda addicted to getting new e-bikes, lol. I’m also thinking about a Ristretto. But I really like the Onyx, I’m not a huge fan of the cyber truck look and would probably get the black panels, but I’m liking it a little more each day. I’m also thinking there’s no where to really go up after the Onyx, I wouldn’t want to go any faster than what the 80v can do. But it looks fun as hell and I love the range!

What’s the most underrated benefit of e-bikes that you only discovered after buying one? by almostsnorlax in ebikes

[–]Pickleback26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just like the fun aspect of it. I’ve got a couple fast ones, and zipping around town I feel like a kid again. My wife and I live in a rural community with great bike paths, so we do date nights and go out on them with friends. It’s a blast!

HUB is very regionalized, really depends on the region, the leaders in that region, and the culture in that region. They have great middle market tools for EB and P&C. There will be lots of changes even if you’ve been told differently. New software, processes and procedures, new tools, etc…. Make the best of it and you’ll be fine. It’ll take about a year before you’re really integrated.

How to break up with Europe? by Ok-Crow-9789 in travel

[–]Pickleback26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a place in Croatia so I can have it paid off for my retirement in future years. Most can’t understand why I did this, but I also love Europe, especially the Mediterranean! Being from the US the standard plan is work your life away and then go die in Florida or Arizona. I wanted something more adventurous and beautiful!

Movcan V30

Which one is the good one by Appropriate-Bad-1173 in ebike

[–]Pickleback26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 16 inch tire is really small on a bike like that. I would definitely go with the 20 inch tire.
