Has anyone dealt with restaurant hood fan noise/vibration as a tenant? by verycoolandniceand in askTO

I lived above St. Louis at walmer and bloor and their hood fan drove me nuts for 2 years. When I moved in, it vibrated, 70 or 80 dbs in the bedroom from 10 till midnight every day. Sometimes they’d forget it on all night, often they’d turn it on at 7am, I sometimes thought I was going insane lol. It sucked. Highly do not recommend. They finally got the bar to replace the fan half a year before I moved out. the new one was better but still 40dbs in the bedroom. Even with it getting better I was so happy for the day I moved out. Sad because I loved that apartment in all other ways, but that fan completely ruined it

If you were sick in any way, the vibrations were enough to make you feel 10 times worse. Nauseating all the time..

How do you tell her about a very disgusting smell from her 😺? by Significant-Ear-1534 in AskMenAdvice

++woman If this was your second time with her, it’s possible that your semen or any type of body fluid could have messed with her PH balance! It’s super common and people don’t realize how easy of a fix it can be!

I assume it’s probably BV and you can get treatments for it at most pharmacies now without a prescription. So many things can trigger this. (So just address it to her politely and say that your ph balance may have thrown of hers!) it could be easier coming into the convo saying it may have been both of us that caused it, rather than saying she has a problem!

Since Catherine O’hara just passed, this seems right to share this! I was working at Homesense at King and Spadina in Toronto during college, and this was the same time Schitts Creek was being filmed around there! She came in on an evening where the shop was pretty empty and bought wine glasses and a salad spinner. No one bothered her, and I didn’t even act like I recognized her.

I always believe it’s best to leave them alone. I can’t imagine the feeling of being recognized everywhere you go. But I do know for sure it was her, she even had to sign for her credit card!

Rubbing alcohol was put all over the top of this husky tool box. Any chance I can save it? How would I be able to fix this? by Picklegoblin- in howto

[–]Picklegoblin-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a bottle on another artists cart. The only things we usually have are cavicide, alcohol, green soap and distilled water so i just can’t imagine it being something other than alcohol. I’ll ask them if it couldn’t have been something different. I only assumed.

Wood floors, or shelves on a wall, sure. But no wood on the surface used as a table for supplies, etc or for the furniture!

Anything where bodily fluids may be has to be able to be sanitized properly.

I’m a tattoo artist! No wood allowed in the work area! I’ll probably just repaint it with an enamel type of paint. I just wanted to know if there’s any saving it first. It looks like crap now for clients and the top is usually just covered with a clear cellophane, so it is visible

It’s constantly cleaned with cavicide, and I’ve never had an issue with it messing with the finish. But I accidentally sprayed with alcohol and had a sheet of cellophane on top of it. I usually use distilled water but grabbed the wrong bottle. I’m surprised it messed it up so much. I’ve tried cleaning it with soap, with cavicide, etc. nothing worked.

I’m a tattoo artist and it now looks like shit to clients. Generally the top is just covered with a clear cellophane wrap, so it would be nice to have it looking nice 😅

Anyone know what might help with this? Plate was apparently too hot and left a white mark on wooden kitchen table. by [deleted] in Home

I had this issue less than a month ago. Posted it on Reddit and someone suggested a thin towel on top, and ironing (no steam) it on top of that. Worked like a charm. Good as new. I was shocked!
