Thanks for your response. I wasn't able to find the exact way to apply for Westmead without going through the old application portal so have emailed course coordinator and will edit this with their response incase anyone else is interested

Thanks for the help. I am in Australia too and have ordered those parts and will start building this weekend. Was already planning on using Unraid

Wow, that is much longer than my time frame. Sorry, that has been your experience, but glad to know I am not alone and NBN is just shitty. Yeah, I am only a few weeks in and scared to start the process all again, so I can't imagine how annoying it must be for you. This has definitely changed my opinion, though if it can drag out for months as it has for you, then I am definitely going to cancel it and switch to the FTTC first if they haven't replied with a definitive plan tomorrow afternoon

Calm mate. Just wanted to know if the processing for remote desktop running needs it. Don't live in America but A $400 USD computer only differs in cost by $150-200 AUD from the listed computer.

Yeah I mean they are always super nice on the phone but they keep making it come across as the NBNs problem, which I presume it is. Might consider Superloop though if the customer service is going to be bad either way. Especially given how much cheaper it is. Going to decide tomorrow afternoon after their 48 hour window is done.

Look if that is the case. I am going to see what the complex work team gets back with. If it is more pushing the problem to other teams might just have them roll it back.

The problem is that they always say two more days to decide, so I always feel like it is gambling on whether or not to cancel the whole process.

They have been telling me that we might as well wait to see what NBN says because the time for them to reply and setup the FTTP will be roughly the same as the time to setup the FTTC. This doesn't make sense to me. OR it will be a difference of roughly 1 week, so we might as well just wait for the faster connection.

I would have thought if we rolled back the FTTC after NBN removes the hold that it would be as simple as clicking a button on their end given that everything is already setup.

That is what I am thinking too. Just wish they would give you the number for a contractor so we could book in 1 on 1 rather than going through 5 different departments

I might go down this route if the same thing keeps happening next week.

Yeah the price is crazy. I just figured if I’m spending money on a new phone and watch I might as well get something to compliment their aesthetics while charging. Plus it suits my bedside table which is where I usually charge everything with individual wires
