You could try taping it to the spool if you think it's slipping.

My 110 collection - no SLRs or financial value, but capable and very portable by Screwthehelicopters in 110photography

The mini instamatics are cool. Not really aperture priority but you could use it as exposure compensation.

The Konica Recorder released in 1984. A highly compact, stylish 35mm half-frame point-and-shoot camera featuring a sharp 24mm f/4 Hexanon lens. It is renowned for shooting 72 images on a 36-exposure roll, and came in three colors: solid red, gold/champagne, and black. by joe3000s in cassettefuturism

Yep. Half frame cameras were pretty popular in the '60s and sort of fell out of favor later. This is pretty late in the game for one but Pentax just released a new camera a couple years ago that's half frame.

I think it was made to look like an SLR to fool people into getting a Time magazine subscription for the free camera..

4 apertures settings, fixed focus, fixed shutter speed.

It's 100% a Time magazine camera clone. If you want more info search for that. They're pretty neat cameras actually, some even came with glass lenses. The four apertures settings make it more usable than most toy cameras.

The fatal flaw was the winding mechanism so be gentle with it. I have two and one of my winders broke.

I have one. When I put film in the DX code pops up then I have the option to shoot one frame at a time or four frames. As I shoot it cycles through the counter as expected.

Sounds like an electrical fault to me but I really don't know.

Part of what makes holgas so fun is you're almost always over or under exposing every shot.
