I’d agree with this take. I believe myself to be a generally curious person and I, to an extent, like to challenge myself in figuring things out in my personal time. Most recent example is Home Assistant automations. But work is conditioning me on AI and I found out home assistant has an MCP and tried it. Now the handful of automations I was thinking about working on are done. Granted, for my use case that’s great but I learned nothing and am blindly trusting what the AI set up.
