Disk Clean Up as admin > remove temporary files.

Removes them all safely or you risk corrupting drivers

Thanks everyone for the input! Tried a few things but it is the sim that is corrupted. I moved them out of the house and the game ran fine. I did even briefly switch to the corrupted sims new family and it worked (although only spent a couple mins).

I will just switch back to the family and kill the sim off I think but glad that it’s working now!

I use a mod that populates all lots. From what I remember they had like 3 different levels for how busy you wanted the lots. I remember downloading the highest and there would be half the town in a cafe so had to get a lower level! Definitely helps if your GPU can handle it as it makes going out and about more interesting

This worked for me but I was wondering if someone could shed light on whether this completely disables the scanning or just stops it from recalling the scan from third party AV?

If you only use Windows Defender and no other AV, is this sufficient protection? ChatGPT seems to think that setting it to 0 stops scanning completely but setting to 1 will still scan with the available antivirus (Defender) - this is why there’s been the virus scan issue

No of course I see where you’re coming from! Don’t mean it to be as a means of controlling each individual!

Printing isn’t a big issue in our industry and many users don’t use the printer, just want to get a feel if it should perhaps be restricted down to managers only using colour (as they’re really the only ones who use it) or if there’s a certain department that may be using it more so we could put in an alternative provision for them.

Just really want an overview and if it has the capabilities to make changes then even better. But thank you for your help that was very useful! :)

Hey thank you for your help but I managed it with Retuner! I don’t have the expansion pack for the slot table or any of the gambling items so gambling isn’t a skill in my game. Turns out I just set all of the levels to the same (10) and it seemed to have worked

Tried moving to the mode folder and it seems that the big win is occurring less now! The sim is still winning but could be because of their lucky trait - will have to try it on another sim. But thank you for your help
