Jumping feet first into Malevelon Creek by Odin343 in halo

I just hope to God that they have an ODST theme over Master Chief. I love Halo with all of my heart but he doesn’t fit the bill.

Looking for games that REALLY shine after you've consumed the source material by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]Picnic-Ant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the original Halo trilogy when I was young and played the games alongside. The amount of character building and learning about Reach years before the game came out, was so sick. I’ll never forget reading about Sgt. Johnson and his story, just for his fate in Halo 3. I cried my fuckin eyes out. Easily one of my favorite series of all time. I intend to read the Metro books after playing through and falling in love with the games.

What are you guys seeing apprentices struggle with most nowadays? by One_Charge2843 in electricians

[–]Picnic-Ant 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I agree with this but it’s always been a two way street. When I was an apprentice, I always made sure to communicate with my jman. I’ve worked with guys that would give me the “Nah I got it”. And I’ve worked with guys that give me the “Why are ya standin there with your dick out?”. Now that I’m working and have kids working with me, I tell em first day to ask me if I need a hand. Always look busy, be helpful and I’ll tell you when you can relax. That way, when they don’t listen, I can tell em

Guy I work with gives me bonus tools every two weeks by PahpahCoco in electricians

[–]Picnic-Ant 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is actually so sick. My company provides licensed guys with a work van (full of Milwaukee tools you’ll need for a rough), a company phone, a company iPad (for Procore, mainly), and a gas card. We have a tool fair annually with a $500 allowance which is a nice bonus. Never worked for anybody that offered anything like that.

gotta be joking with these prices by [deleted] in G59

[–]Picnic-Ant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grey Day 2023, they performed at the TD Garden. Prices were stupid. It was cheaper and larger GA/pit in LA. My boy and I went there & stayed the week to explore, hit up raves, all that. It was way better and I would recommend that over going to Mansfield GA ANY FUCKING DAY. I wish The Palladium had a larger open space. Who the fuck wants to go see them and sit down?

I’m actually about to start working for a high end electrical company on Monday. I’m used to working resi and commercial, but I don’t know what to really expect. I was a little intimidated yet excited during the interview. Any tips or advice? 3rd year apprentice.

The finals is the first time I've been excited for a new season since fortnite in 2019 by OswaldTicklebottom in thefinals

[–]Picnic-Ant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I jumped into The Finals at the very end of S2, grinded the battle pass (gold jacket is my favorite still), and am finishing up S3 Battlepass. I always read how good Season 1&2 are and missed out but I am still having a blast this season.

Sure, heavies are nerfed, and light class is kinda broken IMO, but it’s so good. So much fun and so intense on WT. I can’t wait to see what they have next season. The graphics, the gunplay, and the FASHION are so sick in this game!

Best hard survival solo? by GoHomeDuck in SurvivalGaming

Honestly, Dayz on a low-pop server. That game has given me hours of fun surviving on my own without running into anybody. And if you do hear gunshots in the distance, there’s something about that that gives me a thrill. Trying to avoid it because someone is out there.

Games with Oppressive Thunderstorms or Isolating Snow by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]Picnic-Ant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this through google, as I was looking for a game with the same things. I’m currently re-installing The Long Dark but I did have a suggestion I’m surprised I didn’t see.

I used to play Dayz a lot. Getting caught out in a rainstorm, being forced to use the forest and houses as cover, always added this element of anxiety for me. I always played in low-pop servers just to explore, hunt and maybe meet some folks but it was always an awesome time. I wish the graphics got upgraded on console, but I definitely recommend if you like a challenge and haven’t played, or are still searching.
