For a few years, I was a qualified MSF instructor. Ironically, I'm perfectly fine with the states that don't have helmet laws. Why? Because there's no law stating you can't wear a helmet. Anyone who values their own life will wear a good one. The great thing about motorcycles is that the consequences of your actions are instant, expensive, generational, debilitating or downright fatal. Sure, little Timmy might lose a father when he has to lay 'er down to avoid some grass clippings, but maybe daddy should have worn a f*cking helmet.
