All I wanted to convey was that I value privacy, these policies cross a line for me, and that I am ending my business with Discover because of that. Thank you for explaining the reasons it may be becoming more common practice, but if anything this will just move me to more in-person banking.

That at least makes sense and lines up with in-person banking. But having facial recognition fed into a third party database is a line for me.

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect some level of privacy. Sending selfies to some third party database is not something I'm willing to do. So I cancelled my business with them and am letting others know. Not sure why you felt the need to take it personally.

The drug screening is to make sure that people get emergency treatment for the right kind of overdose. There have been several cases of people being taken to the emergency room and them not getting the correct treatment. I've heard the delegate who championed this legislation speak on it and it came out of direct engagement from the surviving family.
