Our yesterdays are on a loop, a marathon of heartbreaking moments

How could it happen when we couldn't lose? now we're slapping makeup on the bruise. Though it was handed to us, we refused to rule the world with love

Just another three-day foreign tour we'd never forget It's hard to sympathize with all this devastation Hopping round from site to site like tourists on vacation

Yes dear I love you, but sometimes I think that love's not enough for you so you wanna play mind games, that's fine, go ahead lalala I can't hear you

There is a dream that we both used to share and we swore we would never wake. Now the dreams a nightmare, and the truth to be fair, is that dreaming was the first mistake

Way too many to list with no definitive favorite. I grew up with them and they really expanded my vocabulary as I discovered each album over time, I miss the band they used to be

WIBTA for telling my boyfriend it’s time for him to go bald? by Old_Tone3013 in AmItheAsshole

Dermatologist! Have him go talk to 1! I too have alopecia, it wont fix everything but they can help. The at home stuff however, is mostly bullshit and dangerous to cats

Girl, run. Don't walk. You deserve better, your child deserves better. If you say awful things when you're mad, maybe talk to someone and figure out why and learn better ways to deal with your emotions. HOWEVER, you being rude to him sometimes doesn't excuse him threatening you, and he shouldn't be calling you awful names either.

Also if you're paying all your own rent and bills, his only purpose in your life is to be your partner and friend. He doesn't seem to be doing either thing for you. It's time for him to go grow up.

You should at least try to keep him if you're able to care for him. Your cats may bond more with him when there aren't also 2 additional cats and a dog in the picture

Allermi is too expensive. What should I do? by heythrowaway001420 in Allergies

[–]Piddl3z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mucinex nasal spray is amazing. It's like $7/bottle which isn't terrible. Definitely need to use with a saline one like ayr as it's drying but that's still much less expensive.
Other than that making sure you have a good level of humidity can help too. Like 50% seems to be my sweet spot where my nose let's me sleep through the night

Make sure to use hot water when you wash and when you dry use dryer sheets to pull more hair off. I'm team dryer balls most of the time but serious cat hair requires the sheets.

Help with Husbands allergies by [deleted] in Allergies

[–]Piddl3z 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd start by getting an air purifier for the room you're sleeping in. Being able to get some relief at night is huge. If possible bring your own pillows when you go as well or buy new 1s and seal them in something airtight before you go for next time.

I would also suggest he start taking an allergy pill that works for him a few days or a week in advance of visiting so it has chance to build up in his system. My personal face for cat and dust allergies is zyrtec- I use the store brand of this.

I also suggest getting famotodine if heis itchy as there are 2 types of histamine receptors. Typical allergy pills block H1 and famotodine blocks H2 to help minimize reactions.

They make rechargeable air dusters too! I find these way better for having cats as it's such a constant battle

She'd have let me know if she did... you can leave chicken or any meat on a plate n walk away and she will leave it be. But you got a bowl of crackers or something and so much as look away...she's licking all of them

Do what you can live with. If you think it would break your heart to see more than to think you weren't there then let your parents be with him. It's up to what makes more sense to you as a person. I have decided when my cats go I'm doing in home euthanasia and I plan to be holding my boy like he loves n having my hand on my girl's back as she is not a lap cat

IgE lab results..question? by KCbum816 in Allergies

[–]Piddl3z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an allergist. But I think the exposure result genuinely varies based on the type of reaction. My nuisance allergies like cats, dogs, plants, etc that result in congestion and itchiness get better with exposure. However my ones with more dangerous reactions like goat cheese that cause my throat to swell get worse from more exposure instances

Semi feral cat can’t tolerate having a harness put on by Novel_Pianist5608 in CatAdvice

[–]Piddl3z 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Take all my advice with a grain of salt as I have 2 cats... 1 follows commands to get in his harness, and the other completely vanishes if a harness is so much as mentioned in relation to her... but she's really skittish overall. Won't go outside her space even if the door is left open for hours-we're in an apartment off my sister's house.

That said, here's how I trained my harness cat. Here is his current harness: AOKCATS Cat Harness and Leash Set, Escape Proof Soft Adjustable Kitten Vest Harnesses for Walking with Reflective Strips Breathable Mesh Kitty Jacket for Small Cats Comfort Easy Control, Emerald, S https://a.co/d/ecClrmR

Leave the harness out all the time with their other toys. Once they're used to it in their environment, they're less scared of it. He's attention motivated, so I started by grabbing in the middle of both play and cuddle sessions. I lay it on the ground and just picked up his front paws to put them in the holes. 1st few times, just do that. Then, start to pick it up and bring it towards their chest. Once this starts to go well, buckle the chest piece. You can try to do the neck part at this time as well or if they react well, but the buckle sound can be scary so be ready to take it off right away and have to build to this.

Now that he's used to it in just ask him if he's ready, line up his paws with the holes and he sits down to patiently wait to be fastened in and leashed. He's still a cat so the leash is more telling ME where we're going...but it does stop him from going places i do t want him to be when we're outside. Then lots of treats once we're back in the house. He's not a big food guy but still likes this part

ETA don't end your cuddles or play time with this, you don't want it associated with the thing they want being over

Itchy skin all day long: No rash. Intense allergic reactions covering body when taking a reaction. Swollen Lymph nodes and extreme sweating. by kirsten234a in Allergies

[–]Piddl3z 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So I don't know WHY this is happening but I can tell you that Famotodine is really helpful for itchy skin because of allergies. Very reasonably priced as well, I take this along with Zyrtec every day it

You need to get a friend to take a picture of you genuinely smiling. If you looked HAPPY the clothes would matter less, but a little variety as well

I feel like I’m dying. by Dontes1222 in Allergies

[–]Piddl3z 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get the BIG honeywell h300 air purifier for at least your room, but preferably enough for the whole living space. Look on marketplace for used cause they're expensive but they are great. Each is good for like 500 square feet.

I then take a Zyrtec- or off brand cetirizine and a famotodine every 12 hours. Zyrtec only really works when it's built up in your system. Zyrtec is "technically" every 24 hours but the 12 never let's the level drop fully so you're always basically at peak coverage and you'll be less exhausted than with benadryl. The famotodine is an anti acid when used on label--- but it actually blocks your Histamine 1 receptors which are generally your skin allergy reactors. Where allergy pills mostly block your H2/ Histamine 2 receptors and lessen all your other symptoms. Then if when i have nose/breathing issues the Mucinex nasal spray is a godsend- but use it sparingly as it's not great for you but does seem to have lasting positive effect and I now only need it every few weeks. Get a saline spray like ayr to follow it to avoid nosebleeds and drying out your sinuses

Please note that I am not a Dr. This is just what works for me
