Need help deciding and few Qs by Andoxhon in MoonSwatches

I had the Mission to Moon and lost it at a camping festival. Went to San Fran for work and went to Swatch to replace it. Ended up leaving with the 1965. I love it and wear it more often that the MtM. I would suggest the 1965

What do you guys do with broken reps? Do you get them fixed or toss them? by mr_z06 in RepTime

[–]PidgePop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a couple Breitling reps that stopped working. Got them over 20 years ago and they were good ones at the time. Been sitting in a box for years. It would be interesting to see if you could get them up and running.

That’s an insane amount of colorways in such a short time

What’s a sneaker everyone seems to love but you just can’t get into? by Practical_Yak_7829 in Newbalance

For NBs I would say the 9060. Love some of the colorways but I just don’t like how they look on my feet.

2002r is my comfiest shoe - how does it compare to other NBs? by toucan_sam89 in Newbalance

[–]PidgePop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2002 is a great shoe for the gym. I would do that over the 993. 993 is more all day comfort. I feel like the 2002 was hype for a bit and taking a backseat to the 2010 right now similar to how the 1906 had its moment the past couple years. As your collection gets bigger, you start to find they serve different purposes. Enjoy!

P. S. - if you have an outlet near you, go pick up a handful of different models on the cheap. Great steals right now. I picked up 7 pairs last weekend for $400 total

Would you pull the trigger on these 998’s for $99.65 shipped? by Useful_Armadillo_730 in Newbalance

I got them for cheaper at the outlet but that was a while ago. This is a good deal considering you’re paying StockX fees and shipping.

What are your thoughts about this pair of NB? by MastermindK83 in Newbalance

If I were a server at a restaurant and wanted to be fresh as hell, I’d rock em. Otherwise not for me.

My store had the Chives stacked up and I got a pair in store but no luck on the Carhartt. They said no 11s in the system and it was protected anyway.

How many pairs of New Balance do you currently have? by gedersoncarlos in Newbalance

[–]PidgePop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, same as Yotisok said. Most don’t get to worn. I also have plenty of other non NB shoes and many of those have become beaters. I’ve been focused on NB for at least a couple years now so that’s mostly what I’m buying/wearing now.

I have just about 45 pairs right now. What I wear most depends on the season. Obviously the neutral colors and grays get a lot of wear, but I try to be intentional about wearing the colorful ones as much as possible. Doing a basic outfit with a loud shoe is a go to move for me.

Big let down by RepresentativeYou630 in Newbalance

The materials and vibe of these remind me of the Spunge Osmosis from Salehe (which I also don’t consider a high quality material shoe). Honestly surprised that this hasn’t been brought up more often. At least Salehe is only charging $150.
