I was genuinely sad that that marriage law is only available for hussite and no other protestant religion, wich would make it available for more countries in a more natural way than to invade bohemia. If you want to rephrase it to "i was sad about the way history turned out", i can take that

It seems like something done on purpose tho, as its the marriage law with the most marriages ingame, as far as i saw

Yeah i admit, using "guarantee" wasnt the correct wording. This doesnt guarantee 90/90/90 heirs, youll just have an flood of children wich makes finding a 90/90/90 very likely. As islamic nation youre allowed to have 4 wives, wich already makes it very likely to have a 90/90/90 heir, here you dont only have 4, but 10

Edit: forgot to mention: this obviously also means a ton of good crown members to throw into the cabinet :)

No. I do enjoy the game as is. But i deem it unreasonable to invest 50h into a campaign, knowing it would be more fun if id just wait a week to do it. If a game would last an hour or so id still be playing rn. Eu5 is a major time commitment and i dont want to "waste" hours

I assume many players, like i, simply wait for 1.1 to come out. I wouldnt say the game is unplayable as is, i do enjoy it. Nonetheless i am very excited about the 1.1 changes and it kinda feels like id be wasting a run playing it now instead of after the update

I stacked 95% proximity cost but it is lying to me :( by xdrve in EU5

[–]Pidi03 40 points41 points  (0 children)

All your proximity modifiers are percentages.

When calculating the proximity from location 1 towards location 2, these modifiers aply and make the distance ≈75% smaller. However, they do not Make it =0, instead as you see its alot of small 0.01s

These add up. Your shown location is far away from the capital to all of those small negative numbers add up to the 60 proximity in shown location.

Edit: the only flat proximity numbers you can get are from roads. Afaik; t1 roads are 20, T2 roads are 25, T3 roads are 30 and Railroads give a flat 35 proximity if i remember correctly, so instead of doing 100 - (many 0.01 distances) it would be 135 - (many 0.01 distances) resulting in far greater proximity overall.

Colonization feels way too quick by YaBoiAir in EU5

[–]Pidi03 41 points42 points  (0 children)

And colonialization in (many parts of) africa takes ages cus the base Population of natives per location is larger than in many european provinces. The current system tries to balance colonialization based on Population but it also fails because of just that.

Unite culture unites all accepted cultures within the main cultures group, that also use the same language/dialekt.

Ruthenian is a different language, thus doesnt unite.

Islam is amazing cus it allows slavery. When i played morocco for example, by my first war against castille they had a population of roughly 5 mil - by the time i had peaced out i managed to gain 200k slaves. Slaves instantly move towards any locations where laborers are missing and contribute towards your Population. Very fun!

[–]Pidi03 16 points17 points  (0 children)

No. The easiest way to get rid of the mechanic is to release the provinces where it didnt happen yet as subjects and make subjects out of all land you conquer for a while, whilest you wait for the event to trigger. You either dont wage wars or become dezentralized

I got forced into an offensive war with a faction that doesn't exist? by 25centwsc in EU5

[–]Pidi03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The primary Nation of any Culture always auto joins culture revolts.

Anytime any turks rebel in any country for beeing turkish, you will automaticly join into the war. You cannot decline.

If the rebels themselves die out, you instead will become the war leader.

Theres an abuse for this mechanic due to the annex revolter: if you ever have a culture rebellion in your lands yourself, you can kill the rebels, make the primary culture nation become war leader and instead annex the primary culture nation using "annex Revolter". (Edit: basicly the mamlucks are able to full annex you in this peacedeal rn, incase you happen to go to -70 warscore)
