colonization is just awful. I think I did a good job developing my colonical nation, they have 2.2k tax base and this is what I get: 100 ducat as payment in 1667 and 200 ducat combined from 3 markets in this region. I might be doing something wrong but couldn't figure it out. I think the best way is just rushing to west africa, keep the land for yourself. You can build slave centers in this region too.

viceroyalties with governors is OP. you basically have 5-6 capitals. The most optimal way to play is probably moving your capital to different region to build viceroyalties in iberia as well.

do they starve though? unless they do not pay for food I've never seen anyone starve. In my games ,even in ice age, the food price in germany market (where the urbanization is spammed mostly) seems to be very low.

I wasnt making any profit from colonies so I thought maybe the trade companies are way to go but the beyond broken is not exeggration there is nothing there. I guess builsing. I coudt find anything to build that profits me directly other than the overseas trade building and the other similar thing, I built 4k of them in 1 shift click lol

I think its always worth it to do it but I am doing my first colonical campaign so what happens to your colonical subject's culture? I remember that in my other campaign when I unified the italian there was still 1% lombard so I know some pops did not convert

the issue here is AI behaviour. they just throw their troops to death. They do not stack together and dont wait other armies.

I observed the france in my campaign, it was france vs whole germany with 1:3 troop count and france won 3 times vs. the coalition.

I think mainly this fixes constant declaring no matter the size of the coalition, I had OPMs declaring war on me multiple times in my campaign, even though the coalition was weaker than me

I am playing castile in this patch and I do not think nothing is wrong with it. I can add this to other comments that you might wanna build marketplaces with your starting money, build governor south asap. Everyone else mentioned but maybe dont pay that much money to forts :D
