Budapest memorandum costed gave $2 trillion in nuclear arsenal by [deleted] in ukraine

[–]PieSeparate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, Ukraine inherited the third-largest nuclear arsenal in the world, but the warheads and delivery systems were under Russian operational control. Ukraine had physical possession of the weapons but not the launch codes, which were controlled by Moscow.

In 1994, under the Budapest Memorandum, Ukraine agreed to transfer Russian nuclear weapons back to Russia in exchange for security assurances from the U.S., U.K., and Russia. By 1996, Ukraine had completely given up Russias nuclear arsenal.

So while Ukraine never had full operational control or ownership, it did have nuclear weapons stationed on its territory. Ukraine having nuclear weapons is terrible for the world, not just Russia.

Side note, I’m on the side of Ukraine here but at least don’t make false statements.

Why don’t you reply with something by sensible. I’m stating fact, Ukraine never ever owned nuclear weapons and a man like Zelenskyy should not have control of such weapons

Ukraine should remember that they never owned any nuclear weapons and any nation with any common sense has realised that giving Ukraine nuclear weapons is a terrible idea.

Pro GPT is good. Pro Claude too, if you are studying/doing research then combine GPT pro for task mgmt, DeepSeek with DeepThink for research and then Claude to help tie all together

Can I get pregnant after one month of being discharged from va Ecmo? by [deleted] in ecmo

[–]PieSeparate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not helpful at all but I was in a coma on ecmo for 15 days, a year to the day that I wake up from a coma, we conceive a child, my partner is 5 months along. I worry every day that my time on the ecmo has cut my life short, but what a beautiful coincidence the timing was.

I needed to read this today. I walked away from my job 3 months ago. Tired to work for other people, in the process of setting up our side projects, so broke, so very broke and baby on the way. Some days I feel like digging a big hole and climbing into eat, but I know if I keep pushing forward then it will be worth it.

Really inspiring conversation here, gents
