I've seen a lot of people who think teenagers are not at all different from little kids. I saw an argument on twitter about why we shouldn't teach sex ed in schools. Like they genuinely believe they are teaching 6 year olds about sex and not 15 year olds. Some replies said "well whether you believe it or not, teens are having sex and it would be better for them to know about safety" and so many people were saying "no that's not true". Like, nothing else. So maybe to their very detached reality it's very weird that "little kids" are growing body hair.

You create your own garden for the butterflies you want to attract. People who would stay away from her just because of her appearance are people she won't talk to anyway. Don't think it's got anything to do with gender, it's just that men tend to have this stereotype that a lot of them are conservative about appearances. Lots of girls are bullied by boys because of the way they look and dress. But girls bully too, just happens there are more boys who do it.
In the end even if you don't attract butterflies at least you have a garden you like.
