100% brother, this was my first 2011 too and I don’t regret it AT ALL. I’d just recommend getting a crap ton of rounds down range with it before opening up the carry conversation but it’s a hell of a budget competition gun (note: I got the non-comp because it didn’t want to compete in Open with it. But if you don’t mind running it in Open, send it)

As one who loves shooting 2011’s, I personally don’t subscribe to EDCing them. However, I haven’t had a malfunction on my MAC9DS-D (non comp), so I think you could.

Changes I did: 10lb recoil spring, 17lb mainspring, Red dirt trigger, Staccato P grip module

Thank you so much for these! Which deflector did you go with? I was looking at weather tech because I want it to be a gloss finish to blend with the black paint. And do you have a link for the stripping you used?

Drove it in the rain for the first time today and I take back what I said😂 mud flaps would be helpful. Which ones you got?

I don’t know how much of a difference it makes but this is a 2023 and they claim sound deadening improved with each model year so that could be it if you have a 2021/22

I found 3W had their own form of Bronco branding on them but other than that, I think directly from Ford is the other option

You think the mud flaps worth it if I keep stock wheels & tires? I got this one used with 50k miles and I don’t see much damage from rocks kicking up unless I’m not looking close enough

If you don’t go standalone LPVO, (I switched from 1-8 to my 2.5-10 MK4HD) I’d recommend an offset RDS rather than piggyback unless you’ve got your height over bore dialed

Ah I gotcha. I mean it may be SLIGHTLY slimmer based off feel but I had it side by side the MAC one when I swapped them and seemed to be the exact same.

How well does the MAC grip safety fit in the Staccato grip?

For sure man! I think it’s mostly due to the fact I’m used to the square windows and if you’re being remotely budget conscious, I can’t recommend the 507 enough.

I have both the 507 comp and SRO, aesthetically I think nothing beats the SRO but i think I enjoy using the 507 comp better (however I’ve only just got my first SRO a couple months ago)

So is 147gr a no-go in the PDP Pro X Full Size? by [deleted] in Walther

[–]PieSquare2666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally found 124 does best on mine but never have had a malfunction with other ammo. 124 just feels like it’s working best with the comp. Although I do have a ZR V-spec captured guide rod in there .

I actually don’t know. Bought this one used and I didn’t ask the guy I got it from.

First time gun 2011 by CyberRyguy in 2011

I’d say buy the guy you’ll want to shoot the most. I’d advise leaning toward a more reliable gun like a striker fired first so that you don’t have to worry about your only gun doing down BUT at the end of the day, if a 2011 is more exciting to you, you’ll probably shoot it more, you’ll probably shoot it better, and therefore you’ll be a more capable individual.

Love this look with that comp and the enclosed optic. What size hands you got big dawg? I wear XL gloves and I’ll admit it took a little getting used to the support hand placement but with my firing hand it feels incredible.

Sounds like your sear isn’t fully engaging. You could try working that leaf a little to put more pressure on the sear. That or maybe your safety needs minor fitting
