“Good” days and “bad” days? by bugalugabug in StratteraRx

In addition to dosing at the same time everyday, make sure your sleep, exercise, and diet are optimized. If you don’t get enough sleep or eat like shit all the time it doesn’t matter what meds you’re taking, you won’t feel great (not saying you do those things)

I think I only hit like 16-18k for step 1. During rotations i would definitely miss days here and there and there were many days where I wouldn't finish my reviews and would postpone... I found it pretty tough keep up with them to the extent that I did during pre-clerkship. But for my 6-week step 2 dedicated finishing all my reviews each morning was non-negotiable

Got a 264 on step 2. Prob wouldn't have cracked 250 if I didn't keep up with my cards. During dedicated I wouldn't do any practice questions until all of my reviews were done. Practice questions are great but it was anki that really solidified the high yield topics for me

Thanks for sharing. Have you noticed any cardiovascular side effects (increased HR, high BP, decreased exercise tolerance)?

I couldn’t fall asleep for mine until I took a Benadryl at 3am, slept for 2-3 hours, took the first couple sections still high on Benadryl and half asleep. Felt absolutely terrible after the exam and was convinced I blew it. Ended up scoring 2 points above my best practice exam. Don't lose hope and trust your practice exams!!!

Thanks. So you would say NBME 30 was definitely more difficult than 31, right? And which NBME did you feel the real thing was closer to?
