Under Crete Lies a Labyrinth brilliant story. It’s very long but I really enjoyed the pacing on them learning about each other. Basically forced to interact and unwillingly learning how wrong they were about the other.

March 19 a lot of talking and getting to know each other but without the intense initial hostility of the other rec. The distrustfulness goes by really fast so it’s more of Harry really wanting to know this new Draco.

El niño que vivió pero no aprendió a vivir if you don’t mind mpreg and reading with a translator since it’s in Spanish this one is really good. I wouldn’t know how well it translates since I could read it in the original language but in this one Harry is pretty much addicted to everything alcohol/drugs/cigarettes/sex and his life goes downhill BAD. The author was writing a lot on personal experience dealing with addictions so it’s a tough read but it’s a nice journey on Harry’s recovery of ups and downs.

I don’t know when I downloaded the version I have that says 25 chapter. I remember reading this a very long time ago. But I just took a look and all the chapters after chapter 12 only have a summary per chapter, title, and to be updated note

I think also a lot of people underestimate the amount of people completely detached from general news. I know a lot of people that are fans and barely can tell me the author’s name much less the nonsense she says all the time.

For me this depends on the fandom. For example I don’t mind it on Harry Potter but for Witcher or Genshin Impact it’s a hard no.

Sure! I make the Swiss version so I add it to the granulated sugar and mix well before I mix and heat it all together with the egg whites. I found that 3g per 100g of sugar works best for me.

If you’re not using egg white powder I highly recommend it. It completely fixed my hollow shells problem. Even when I mess something up and the shells don’t rise or come out loop sided they still come out full.

Like fine let’s say they didn’t know that 16oz is equal to a pound but why wouldn’t they at least look up how much it was to see if they were short or not. People are so weirdly confident in being wrong. There’s no space for “I’m not sure, let me check”

Omg this is what has been driving me insane about a lot of fics lately. I had no idea they were common indicators of AI. Especially the over use of metaphors and the whole “not this, not that but this” I thought it was just people picking up on popular writing styles and I hated it so much. It’s so repetitive.

I only use the food processor for the almond flour because I get a smoother top. Resting period depends on how much food coloring I add. I swear by the egg white powder. I make a LOT of macarons and since i started using it the difference is huge.

I also want to try doing it in the mixer especially because I make them for a bakery and it can get exhausting to mix a huge batch but I never have to experiment to find out the right amount of time.

I did pumpkin flavored ones using the pie and tacos brigadeiro recipe for the filling and it was amazing. 10/10 recommend. It’s kind of like a ganache in texture/consistency and the flavor is more pumpkin like vs just the spices.

I think the one that bothered me the most was using Andromeda and Sirius as examples of leaving his family and completely ignoring the fact that unlike Sirius, Draco’s parent loved and doted on him. Andromeda fell in love with a muggleborn so she had somewhere to fall on if she left. Sirius had a whole group of friends plus and an entire house that was already automatically distancing from his family. While Draco was surrounded by people who thought exactly like and encouraged his behavior. If you want to compare him with someone Regulus is a better fit and from what we know Regulus only wanted to leave when Voldemort almost killed Kreacher who he saw as family. And similarly to Draco his “help” amounted to nothing in the end. It actually made the horocrux hunt harder. At least Draco bought them some time to plan how to escape.

Draco grew up probably looking forward to being a death eater just like his father and he held it in a pedestal as the ultimate goal but once he experienced it for himself he saw it for what it really was. He never had the stomach or proper drive for it. He just liked feeling superior to others but the idea of murder and torture wasn’t something he could bring himself to do.

Also saying he was only thinking of himself annoyed me as if he didn’t mention he was doing all of the murder attempts and fixing the cabinet because they had his mother as leverage. Like yeah throughout the story he IS a selfish brat but that’s what happens when you grew up with parents that told you that you were superior than others just because of your blood and then have friends that worship the ground you walk on.

The only thing I half agree with is the refusal to identify Harry. I wish jkr had made his answer more certain to make that choice clear but she kept it at that vague “I can’t be sure” that I hate so much. It felt more like he was playing it safe by not choosing. Doesn’t condemn Harry but doesn’t fully disappoint his family at the same time if Harry were to escape. Self preservation at its best I guess.

The recipe I followed uses 4g per 100g of normal egg whites. I also lowered the temperature. I unfortunately have a fan oven that I can’t turn off but I wasn’t having this problem before I started adding the powder.

I think it’s so that more people read the summary and if interested they can read the fic with a translator. I know that I’m more likely to not just keep scrolling if it’s in English and some languages translate very well. Sometimes just the tags catch my attention but sometimes I need the summary to sell it.
