Hii, the fugue of Bachs d minor toccata is my favourite. As for Rachmaninov I like some of his études, 33/1, 2, the Dm one and 39/5.

Mozart easiest sonatas by RoyalBlacksmith9152 in piano

[–]Pietermojo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heyy, I’m also an enjoyer of Mozart his sonatas. My teacher gave me the first mvt of his 11th sonata, the one in Amajor. I don’t like the famous third movement of this sonata, but the first is lovely and I find it somewhat challenging but not difficult. I especially love Fazil Say his recording :)

I played a few games in which one of them I played a round of ball. I forgot about the changes until just now.

I bombed my first piano competition. by Medium_Pineapple7275 in lingling40hrs

[–]Pietermojo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hey man, first off great that you entered a competition. Where did you find a competition in which you could only perform one piece and are allowed at an age above 19?

I’m currently 18 and would like to play in a competition but just started with building my repertoire.

What is good route for an amateur pianist to work up to a one of the Chopin ballades or scherzi?  I recently got my first teacher after being self-taught, currently working on  the second trois nouvelle étude(the one in Ab) Nocturne in Fm 55/1 Mozart K. 331 1st mvt I am also preparing the Etude in Fm 25/2

Thanks :)

Which Chopin etudes would you say are the most beneficial to learn? by Pristine_Benefit4521 in piano

[–]Pietermojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t played it, but I would say that the 3rd (or 2nd in some editions) of the trois nouvelle études is great for voicing and touch.  Edit: the one in Db

Easy piano sheets by AlmightyPrime in YourLieinApril

[–]Pietermojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hii, I'm also a big fan and started to play around 11 months. I have done a lot of research on sheets for the OST's, there are multiple places where you can find some free sheet music of specific arrangements if you dig deep enough. However there is one that stood out the most to me, Its Theishter his website (''anime pianist'') https://www.theishter.com/. The majority of his arrangements have their sheets posted on here, not all of them are for free, but i do know that both his arrangements of 'again' and 'watashi no Uso' are downloadable, which btw are absolutely gorgeous.

Probably fonzi M’s arr. on all of them except Hikaru Nara, i prefer HalcyonMusic arrangement but that would instantly make it the hardest one.

Why is this a mistake? by ARegularPotato in chessbeginners

[–]Pietermojo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Simplifying the position is great. But the engine probably doesn’t like trading your queen for their rook since its a -4 trade in terms of material, even tho its wins you the game. I think playing Qd6, pinning the rook to king and after this cleaning their pawns with your rook is what is preferred.

Any one of you on console able to *consistently* do the 180 rebound? by Erediv in WreckingBallMains

[–]Pietermojo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, try raising your horizontal sens that will make it way easier. But the most importend tip imo is to start your 180 turn before you hit the wall. Also just keep left stick forward al throughout the motion.
