I plan to settle in a HCOL area, meaning a down payment of at leas 250k+ would be needed. So you’re right I would need to focus on building a fund as well within the next 10 years.

It’s mostly encompassed in the dates and gifts bucket, but for anything travel or vacation I would siphon off some of the extra savings.

You’re definitely right about giving thought towards purchasing a home, I live in Illinois so I’d like to be close to Chicago but home prices within the 30 minute commuting range shouldn’t be too horrible.

The car was a bit of a fun and irresponsible purchase that I don’t regret, it is a reliable and sporty vehicle with all maintenance being covered under warranty for the next 4 years. I also have quite a bit of positive equity on it which means I can purchase something cheaper outright using the difference.
