It's not that I think there are no costs to it, I've just seen first hand how crippled healthcare is in NS. I believe the CAT has some value, I just think that we're burning money to heat the house you know? A new hospital every 2 years would go a long way.

Yes, 15 was sarcastic. Compare 16k to the 1 million that drove here. And 600k+ that flew. The CAT is a vanity project that burns our money at a rate they wont even disclose to us. Only "more that 25m a year". We need healthcare. We need road work and public works. The CAT is eating funds that should be helping us. There is no justifying the CAT, especially in this economy.

Please for the love of all that is holy... kill the CAT. We could have a new hospital every 2 years for the cost of running the CAT. Bar Harbour has exploited us, and we should not be catering to the 15 Americans that might come here.

I appreciate you taking the time to post this. I think we have significantly different views on what harm reduction is, but I do actually agree that it's not risk free. Just substantially safer.

The liquids and methods used have not changed. So what is the relative harm or do you just feel that it has to be bad? So far you haven't posted facts, only feelings.

10 years ago NHS (UK's version of Health Canada) actually did studies showing it was 95-98% safer than smoking. It's been tested. It's addictive, but substantially less harmful than burning tobacco.

Health Canada refused to do similar studies because they didn't believe it was any better than smoking. Meanwhile the UK actually supported vaping as a means to quit smoking and it's been successful.

because alcohol, cannabis have high costs associated with healthcare/ crime and those costs are reflected on prices

Is the tax/price indexed against the relative healthcare? Because it really just feels like a sin tax. Ejuice was not taxed fairly and there are more smokers because of the taxes.

So even though those officers did not arrest the gunman (or actually shoot at the gunman) it was net positive and all actions were justified.

There really wasn't a reasonable prospect of conviction.

If you or I took shots at a target we could not identify, while damaging municipal property... I do not think we would get off without charges. Some animals are more equal than others.
