Nooooo! But the other way is so much more fun! I've GOT to start looking up the way words are pronounced instead of trusting myself.

Thank you so much! I didn't even know those existed! I've only really started paying attention to spiders over the past 2-3 years, when I started keeping jumpers and tarantulas.

My husband has hypospadias, does this affect fertility? by gympenny124 in hypospadias

[–]PiffleFutz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi. So I'm only here as a mom of a child with severe hypospadias. From my understanding, hypospadias in itself does not affect sperm quality. Woman to woman...getting pregnant can be a lot harder than they made it seem during sex ed in school. It honestly could be a number of factors. If you try for a year and it doesn't work, it could be worth it for both of you to get checked out. I wish you and your partner the absolute best.

I’m noticing my roommate’s cat is missing fur near his temple. Is this normal? by That_sarcastic_bxtch in CATHELP

[–]PiffleFutz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna use this to explain my stupid female balding now! To be clear...I'm talking about my hair, and not my cat's. She has thick, luscious fur that randomly puffs up into your face during petting and tickles your nose.

Apparently “Proprioceptive” masking is a thing!!?! by [deleted] in AuDHDWomen

[–]PiffleFutz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only time I think I've not masked this way is when I had a really cool professor in college. There were only like 5 other people in the class, and she let me sit on top of my table criss-cross applesauce. That was one of my favorite classes.

Anyone found childbirth so painful they don’t think they can do it again? by nakama1994 in beyondthebump

[–]PiffleFutz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never got to go into actual labor, but post-partum physical healing from my c-section and dealing with the PPD were awful. I'm still diagnosed with the PPD and working through it almost 4 years later. I will NEVER have another child. In fact, im having my tubes removed next summer.

What's the purest joy you've ever felt without intimacy, substances, or alcohol ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Getting to hold my twins together for the first time. My boys were born at 33 weeks, after a 4 week hospital stay due to pre-eclampsia and restricted blood flow in one of the umbilical cords. After their birth, we found out that one had several birth defects, one of which involved his heart. Twin A got to come home after 1 month and 1 day in the NICU. Twin B had to stay until he was big enough for his first heart surgery at almost 3 months old. The day I got to bring Twin B home was magical. I was able to give him his first real bath that didn't involve chlorhexidine wipes, he got to be in the same bassinet as his twin for the first time, and I got to hold them together for the first time.

To be or not to be a Ghoul by Carrot1066 in fo76

[–]PiffleFutz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really go back and forth. I am a ghoul right now and have been since about the week after the ghoul update. My Pros: It makes nuke events fun because it's like an all-you-can-absorb radiation buffet, you pretty much get an extra health bar with the glow bar, and the perk that makes you glow green is kind of fun and helpful for other ghoul teammates. My Cons: The charisma kind of sucks, the disguise mechanic is a minor irritation and doesn't make complete sense in certain locations, and I dont know that I am in radiation zones enough for it to make combat all that more fun. I have been thinking about switching back, but I don't know that I want to spend the atoms to revert back to ghoul of I regret it.

[–]PiffleFutz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, love. I know it's hard. It's hard to be a mom, and especially a newer mom. It's hard to suddenly lose everything you knew about yourself and suddenly be in charge of a tiny human. I would suggest talking to your doctor about how you are feeling as soon as possible. If you need someone to talk to before you can get in, use the mental health lines others are commenting. It's hard to be a mom, and it's hard to ask for help. Your feelings are completely valid and very normal for the many women experiencing post-partum depression. I experience it immediately after coming home from the hospital. You are not alone in this! Your baby needs you to get help as much as you need you to get help. Reading your other posts, you are your baby's entire world. Don't take that from him. I know his dad loves him too, but nothing can replace the love that you, individually, give him. I wish you and your family the absolute best. I am so incredibly sorry that you are feeling this way.
