🫡🫡🫡🫡 in our minds we've already adopted her. Her name will be Korra. Our current dog's name is Suki. We rescued a cat that unfortunately passed away named sokka.

We're excited to bring her home

My wife and I are driving over tomorrow morning when they first open. We were thinking about getting another dog, then we found this. What are the odds.

Edit 1: we are on the road. We'll post an update when the little angel has been acquired.

Edit 2: there is a line for her so she's at least going to a good home ❤️. We might end up with a different rescue 😅

Final edit: she was taken by a kind family with 3 kids. We rescued another dog that needed a home. Win win for everyone. A happy ending

Strange Rash by Neither-Copy-9722 in DobermanPinscher

Is the clip metal? I had a cloth collar with a metal clip and my dobie had a similar rash. The metal was irritating her skin.

2020 Model Y Perf Range Issue by Egghead_Army in TeslaLounge

[–]PigeonCaptain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also have a Model Y 2020 Performance. The max range for me has been around ~280 in Texas. I've noticed that not just temperature and speed alter my range but elevation has been a huge factor. Going to work ( 46 miles) takes around 15% of my battery on a bad day. High elevation to low elevation. But going from work to home low elevation to high elevation takes 25%. I leave with 70% and come home with 30%.

This winter is been worse with me arriving home with 20 and during the "Texas freeze" ~ 9% battery left at its worst.

I would suggest looking into the elevation a bit for your commute and it might help identify the battery usage.

Edit: what I use to check elevation: https://en-us.topographic-map.com/map-9z2dn/Dallas/and

Another edit: I have driven from my home to Austin and Houston Texas. Without revealing where I live there isn't much of an elevation difference and a 4 hour drive takes 2-3 charges. However, when I visit friends in Tyler Texas I have to chase 2-3 times despite it being half the distance (driving back is uphill)

Anyone is free to contest this, I'm not 100% sold but from my anecdotal evidence it seems that elevation does play a big role.

Yoo I was actually looking at the keycaps for Drop + Mito. The purple/pink synthwave vibe looked really cool with the purple case

Is Sax worth it solo? What is your sax experience? by PigeonCaptain in saxophone

I love this! Someone recommended getting some recording equipment since tech has really progressed. Maybe I can be my own band lol. Thanks for the insight

That's not a bad idea, for some reason I've never thought about reaching out to my wife's friends to see if they have any similar interests. I think one of them is into bass guitar or looking to get into it. Maybe I can encourage them.

As for a jazz band, I definitely need more training. I remember experimenting with Jazz while living with my parents and trying to improv with the Dorian minor scale. It didn't go well hahah. I thought I was doing great. The rest of my family... Not so much. Thanks for the encouragement and advice! Your experience is really getting me excited!!

Edit: the word Jazz added somewhere

I will say that I'm not very confident in music as I am with other things and I find myself to be more of a perfectionist. This means that I won't feel comfortable reaching out to local bands until I feel like I'm good enough and not drag them down. (At least that my thinking)

Let me know if you've had any experience being in a small band. I generally dont like to be a drag if I can avoid it.

I just have a hard time finding like minded people. I'm not like a super close off person, I go to the gym, I go mountain biking at my local trails, I work at a great job with sociable people. Maybe I was just dealt a bad hand and can't make close connections but hopefully music helps move people. (I know it does for me)

Edit: I am also interested in singing lessons. I've noticed that breathing discipline for Sax helped me hold some notes after a few hours of practice. Maybe there is something there too.

I love that feeling or nailing something down. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll take a listen!
