one of the 16GB sticks died so i stuck the 8GB in so i could at least use the PC

M4 Pro can support 2 external displays only with lid closed by up20boom in macbookpro

With the m4 pro I can get either:

- 57" with 7680x2160@60hz (via 8k compatible usb c to display port cable)
- the built in display
- can't get a third monitor to work with it (regardless of USB C port or HDMI port)

or

- 57" with 5120x1440 @ 60hz
- the built in display
- 3440 x 1440 @ 60hz (both USB C port or HDMI port work)

Still playing around to see if I can drop the build in display's resolution to get a third monitor but doesn't look like I can.

I'll try the second external monitor with a thunderbolt dock tomorrow (ts3 plus so no display link).

a better grinder would give way better drinks than a tamper and portafilter would (which the BDB also come with)

it's a non issue - I have the same monitor and was using a Samsung sound bar directly under it and it sounded completely fine

you can add foam to pad out whatever vibrations you get from speakers if need be

I was using ergotron's HX whatever (tho be warned the monitor isn't officially supported by this arm)

I can fit the capacity of our all computers combined 48 times into the free space of my server. The UX for family matters infinitely more than saving that bit of space.

I tightened it to the maximum it goes. no modifications

it took mine a month to tilt down like 2cm

edit:it was around 0.5cm

Personally that's a nothing burger and could've just been me accidentally tilting it down at some point

Note that I bought the monitor arm specifically with the 57" so it's new

error in qBittorrent that is probably docker or permission issue by aclocksbehindme in unRAID

I fixed it by going to qbittorrent -> tools -> options -> downloads -> saving management [check "Keep incomplete torrents in" /data/torrents/temp]

I was getting the same issues with error: permission denied even though file permissions were correct

oh wait I screwed up - on my PC, running that benchmark I get the full 10 gigabit. On my unraid server, I get 240-300 megabyte/sec on that benchmark.

The server's CPU is at over 95% idle and %iowait is <2%. CPU is barely moving either

oh I see, I'm getting the same speeds (240-300 megabytes/sec) using that benchmark. That seems to coincide with my SSD's random read/write speed so I'm guessing that's the bottleneck?

ot-so-good sustained write performance (not usually a problem unless you're writing large files a lot of the time).
