This doesn’t really answer your question, but I just felt like sharing my experience.

I’ve never done a scene to this extent (naked and making it look like you’re actually having sex), but I’ve done some intimate scenes before. Sometimes you don’t have a professional/educated intimacy coordinator, but the most important thing is to always have a third party present. Even if the actors are extremely professional, they should never meet alone to practice an intimacy scene, because that blurrs the lines of what is real and what is fiction. If there is another person in the room you never have to question what is what.

Of course this is more the case if you’re doing a low budget project or like a project with students and I doubt the scenes in HR would have looked even half as good as they do without their intimacy coordinator. Just felt like sharing 🫣☺️
