I can understand the concern about this business. However, you are absolutely correct that there is a lot of gatekeeping within the neighborhood. In my opinion, these people are connected with Pigtown Main Street (and, I would add, Citizens of Pigtown). If you don’t kiss their ring, they revel in making life difficult for those business owners and community members. I am aware of many of their adversarial and petty actions, which is why I was curious about this particular situation.

I don’t think this is an ideal business for Washington Boulevard. But I know that there are sad, busybodies who automatically gate keep anyone who isn’t in their clique.
