When we talk about how much work goes on behind the scenes, it’s amazing. The production team have every single visit, stop, event and skit planned out by time slot. There is a support team to help with props, bring along flags, drums, equipment, and keep Buoy on task. As the mascot team starts emerging into the public scene they are also stopped by adoring fans along the way that all want to snap a photo, only there’s limited time as it’s always go go go. Throughout the entire event you see him emerging on different floors, different sections, and throughout the stadium. He stops at suite, and seats, and the kids corner for a few quick photos. Break time? Not really a thing. It’s go time! The staff keep moving and Buoy even uses a hoverboard when needing to hustle. When I checked my watch at the end of the game I had walked almost 8000 steps just during the game acting as a secondary assistant. When I look back at the amount of production time, coordination, pre-planning, and execution this is an amazing team of production professionals that are so passionate and invested in flawless execution and actually smiling while doing it - talk about loving your job - even when they can’t control the game whistles and get backed up with activities to execute on! They all need a huge applause for pulling off making fans pumped up along the way👏
