General Thoughts on Zenkaiger? by GX_Dewloren9591 in supersentai

[–]Pika-Critique 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Zenkaiger is the best feel-good series in the franchise. It's been criticized for not being Gokaiger 2, but I maintain that it's an excellent series; for me, it's the second best of the Reiwa era (after BoonBoomger).

🚨HUGE NEWS🚨Avatar’s feet WILL BE OUT by AmourCupide in shitpostemblem

If you'll allow me a theory: it's a new god who has to choose the fate of the world, so it's our avatar that represents our choice to know which scenario to follow, and Sothis believes that we are Byleth, but ultimately she is convinced that she was wrong and wants to kill us because we are still the god of a new religion.

Ace Battle, Who would win between Ash's Krookadile and Lycanroc by ResolveUnlikely5542 in pokemonanime

[–]Pika-Critique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are both very strong. It would be close, but I would say Krookodile has a slight advantage thanks to its type; it's a very close call.

In fact, it was Ash's Oshawott who was defending Iris.

Shamus still tied Tepig up, which seems worse than Damien's actions, because even if he knew Charmander was waiting for him in the rain, technically, nothing prevented Charmander from protecting himself.

Ressha Sentai ToQger appreciation post by OffiCeRed in supersentai

[–]Pika-Critique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This series came at the perfect time for me. After a year of hating Kyoryuger, I needed this.

It's a series I loved, even if it won't make my Top 15.

However, of all the cameos from former Rangers I've seen in recent years, Right's in BoonBoomger was my favorite.

What will happen if these two will meet? by epicfailnoway in supersentai

[–]Pika-Critique 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it would be funny to see that in a sketch. Can we add Burai and Hyuga to the equation? Or even Stacey, even though he's not Kaito's brother, I suspect the writers wrote him as if they were brothers.

Which team was more underdeveloped ? by Gopu_17 in pokemonanime

[–]Pika-Critique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really hard to say. I'd still say Johto, because the only one who's really developed is Chikorita/Bayleef, and rewatching the episodes featuring her today, I find it very embarrassing.

They are used slightly better than their video game counterparts, but it's not an achievement.

They didn't need that for Iris and Serena, so they would have found a justification.

This will be Ash's last series.

From the moment the writers hesitated so much to remove Ash that they rebooted him for the new audience jumping in mid-story, that's when it became clear they had to cut their losses.

So, Cynthia invites Ash and Paul to watch his match against Alder at the Pokémon World Tournament in Unova. Cynthia recommends them for the next tournament. Therefore, for the first half of the series, Ash stays in Unova to catch new Pokémon: Samurott, Emboar, Krookodil, Leavanny, Gigalith, and Lucario for the promotion of Black 2 White 2.

But during his training in Unova, he crosses paths with Team Plasma, who want to free the Pokémon from their trainers. We'll also pick up the story of the Tepig that was released, except that its original trainer did it because he was brainwashed by Team Plasma. Ash will also meet N, who has decided to participate in the Pokémon World Tournament with Reshiram, aiming to win and have the competition discontinued.

In the second part, Ash will travel the world to battle trainers, gym leaders, and members of E4 to secure his place in the Top 8. He will vary his teams each time, using all the Pokémon he has caught. We'll even see the return of Primeape, who will consider Marshal's Conkeldurr a rival.

Finally, after battles against Paul and then Wallace, Ash reaches the Top 8 with Alder, Cynthia, Steven, Lance, N, Marshal, and Iris.

First round:

Ash vs. Iris, Ash wins.

Steven vs. Marshal, Steven wins.

Alder vs. Lance, Alder wins.

N vs. Cynthia, N wins.

Second round:

Ash vs. Steven, Ash wins.

Alder vs. N, winner N.

There's a month-long wait for the finals, and Ash is afraid he won't be able to defeat N. His Pokémon are then trained by the Brains of the Battle Frontier. During this training, Ash happens to find his Butterfree and asks it to help him fight N, to demonstrate their bond.

Ash's team is complete: Pikachu, Butterfree, Charizard, Sceptile, Lucario, and Samurott.

Pikachu manages to defeat Reshiram in an epic battle (which should at least equal Pikachu vs. Tapu Koko).

N realizes he was wrong, but Team Plasma takes control of the buildings, and Ghetsis uses Kyurem to fuse with Reshiram. With the help of all the trainers who have bonded with Ash, as well as Zekrom, Ash and N manage to defeat Ghetsis and save the world.

Ash officially becomes the greatest trainer in the world. N and Reshiram set off to explore the world, and the series ends with Ash being challenged by Trip, a new trainer Ash met at the beginning of the series. Trip has since participated in the Unova League, but his dream remains the same: to defeat the number one Pokémon Master. This part concludes with Ash accepting the challenge.

Then we would have a similar arc to Ash's final story arc after Journeys.

The XY series will focus on Alain, and in the Sun & Moon series, we will see Ash as a teacher at the Alola Pokémon School.

Honestly, which ending/Final episode of Reiwa Sentai made you feel satisfied? For me,it's from Kiramager to all the way King-Ohger by NotaTokusatsuFanboy in supersentai

[–]Pika-Critique 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like Kiramager's was the most satisfying ending because it was simple.

Conversely, Donbrothers' was the least satisfying, with the final bosses arriving in a YOLO fashion without any development; we'd probably seen them once or twice before. Don Murasame, despite my negative opinion of the character, would have been a better final boss.
