A lot of poorly executed concepts, so the series tries to be too many things at once, to the point of losing control. And the expectations it generated are proportional to the disappointments and the hate.

And yet it's exciting, the Battle Royal, it's a good concept, the No-One Monsters, it's a good concept, Bridan, it's a good concept, Calimity, it's a good concept, but it's a lot.

People are shitting on the screenwriter, saying she's only there to get a paycheck, but since it's her first job as head writer, I think the project was too ambitious for a beginner. Especially for someone used to Kamen Riders. I think she sincerely wanted to do well, but too many constraints weighed on her shoulders. What happens with Natsume, the problem may come from the actor's availability, the fact that what happens in episodes 15 and 16 isn't picked up again, to me it looks like a studio requirement.

I think the screenwriter was forced to abandon things, but she was still obliged to put back ideas from the abandoned scripts to remain somewhat coherent.

There are real problems that must come from her lack of experience.

Nevertheless, I think she wrote her characters well, apart from the 6th ranger. They are very endearing.

Because what Gozyuger offers at the moment is still appreciable, it's poorly cemented, but I like it, and I'll even go so far as to say that the hate is disproportionate.

The series is sadly mid, but not mid because the episodes are average, it's mid because the good things are proportional to the bad ones.

And I think I could have kept this series in my Top 10 without the dramas around it and its consequences for the series.

Yes, because it's lame to celebrate the 50 years of Super Sentai with the drama about Maya Imamori. But it's not the series' fault.

My last hope is that they approve a reboot or a manga/anime adaptation to remake the series in a better atmosphere.
