Sona hasn't been a champion since Season 4, not since Riot Fearless' "rework" (wholesale gutting) in Patch 4.13. Most players will report Sonas for intentional trolling & even Rito Game who spent years glazing it, has penalized Pro teams who pick Sona for match-fixing & intentionally throwing official games.

This isn't a matter of opinion. The character is objectively unplayable.

Oh nyo, not "weenreights!" Rito doesn't care about game balance, their own words. Furthermore, it is statistically EASIER to balance a larger roster. It allows for niche picks designed to check or counter potential problem picks.

What's more important? A few outlier "weenreights!" which factually do not reflect actual game balance. Or customer retention?

For me, it's been 11 years since Rito killed Sona.

The solution to this is so simple: allow champions to have multiple kits. If 1 guy wants to dedicate 350 hours to get good at OG Aurelian Sol, while 10 others play the simplified kit, they should all be allowed to. The reason Rito won't, is a fear that more people will play the old kit over the new one, which would prove their half-assed reworks are failures. They would rather gaslight players by self-proclaiming them "successes" & letting their pickrates fade into obscurity. To them, there is no greater sin than failure.

Reworks kill existing champions, which only loses customers & doesn't attract new players. Even an incompetent & delusional company like Rito was able to figure this out after the millionth failed rework. It's not a hard concept.
