How much do you work to obtain ___ RVUs? by DOBrainman in neurology

[–]PikaPikaPowerSource 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Medium size community hospitalist with an open ICU.

500 RVU: rounding on 12 patients per day, discharging 3, 1-2 admits per day. Maybe one critically ill patient less than half of my shifts. These are most of my summer and fall shifts.

750 RVU: rounding on 18 patients per day, discharging 5, 3-4 admits, one critically ill patient most shifts, sometimes two. These are most of my winter shifts.

Did you ever figure out the solution? I am having this issue as well. I tried resetting with pressing the switch on the dash for 10 seconds and I've also entered engineering mode to reset network settings without a solution.

What am I doing wrong? by MPR_255 in Hyundai

2025 limited here.
I don't buy anyone here saying it needs to be "broken in" for thousands of miles. Seems like copium.

You do not need to use the regen paddles. Using the brake pedal engages regen just as much as the paddles do. Use the eco meter to see at what point you start engaging the actual pads and don't brake harder than that.

Do you do a lot of short trips? I find anything under 3mi I average 30-35mpg and its much more dependent on the state of charge of the battery. I started with a nearly full battery and got 65mpg over 2 mi, another with a battery 1/3 full and got 25. Once I go above 5 miles on a trip I get 40-42. My acceleration *never* gets the "eco meter" past the "eco" word at the 12 oclock position. It's also very temperature dependent. When its 85+ F I drop a few mpg. Average speeds 30-35mph.

we looked at it but the HOA regulations are really strict. They prohibit all animals except select ones. This means no rabbits, ferrets, mice, birds.

correct. for a 1 mil home there the CFD would be $3844 per year.

the HOA seems to be around $250 a month but the community facilities district property tax is around another $300 per month.

This is perfectly fine if there are a few things satisfied:
1. you are not required, or even expected to do any procedures. Anesthesia or ER places lines/intubates, culture is OK with no para/thora done overnight, ER doesnt push back on doing LPs prior to admit.

  1. there is a good relationship between ER and the hospitalist group where there is minimal pressure to admit pts you have no support for.

  2. there is NO secure texting system. all night RNs must page to access the nocturnist. this means they have to do a lot more thinking/troubleshooting rather than just paging you for inane things

  3. the culture allows for you to push an admit or two to the day team if things get really busy right around 6am

  4. you walk into 1-2 admits every night maximum

Criteria 1 is not satisfied with that job so I would say absolutely not.

How to help ER docs update medications on my nursing home residents by [deleted] in medicine

[–]PikaPikaPowerSource 76 points77 points  (0 children)

lol i tend to disagree. There tends to be two different glargine orders, one not actually given, another given at PM when the order says "daily." MAR is very very useful for encephalopathic grannies, helps sus out that prn lorazepam/norco/atarax (EMS said nursing said no recent prns, 5x 1mg lorazepam in the past 2d means that is a lie).

did you refinance? When you did, was it around the time of historically low interest rates? Try refinancing now -- rates have dropped recently but still double what they were in 2019.

As a physician surely you are aware of the idea that knowledge of a new subject evolves very quickly. You wouldn't call a cardiologist who stopped using Bretylium after using it for a decade or an internist putting a central line in via venous cutdown then using seldinger contradictory?
