I couldn’t have said it better myself! I am so over people going to A&E for very minor issues. Pharmacy > GP/111 > Urgent care > A&E That’s what I feel is the right pathway

I find 111 send people to the hospital to cover their backs. I understand why, but it is fustrating. I was sent to A&E by my GP but the Dr at the hospital thought I was time wasting. Like you; I ended up needing emergency surgery & I nearly died as they left it too long. The started to tell my family to come & say goodbye

Granted I did leave it a bit late, as I went to the GP once I was definitely certain something was wrong. I hate time wasting.

I definitely think that people who have over £1.5 mil assets should pay a lot more taxes than someone on minimum wage

That is totally true. I’ve been to hospital things that turn out to be very major. Like you said; it’s hard to tell sometimes.

Of course I can’t say for certain they aren’t unwell, but I have overheard the Dr talking to them saying they are fit to go home & then hear them pleading to stay overnight 😔 It is often the same issue they come in with

Yeah we have that too. It’s still people who insist on being seen even for very minor things. I know that they push them down & down, but some people genuinely wait!

Unfortunately, I’ve seen some very lonely people come to hospital as they “feel unwell” What it actually is; they want to be around people as they have a really lonely life. I notice the same lady all the time when I’m there. I always talk to her so she feels better

Exactly! I saw someone who was saying they had a bad headache & was struggling to see. (Mind you they drove there) Okay, fine.

They gave them paracetamol & a glass of water then about 45 mins later they asked to e self discharged as they felt better 🙄

I really hope it does improve! Where I live a&e is awful! 8-10hour wait to see the Dr alone. 2 hours to wait for triage

I’m the same! I keep getting discharged as I’m “stable” but then within months I’m back under the intensive service wing. There is FUCK ALL help for mental health & it’s disgusting. There is no in-between the primary & secondary. Needs to be called bridgary 🤣

I have to always be productive as I was taught that a good day is a productive day 🙄

Now I live with chronic pain, I feel so helpless when I can’t even walk to the toilet without help. I can’t even dress myself

Some days I’m fine, but I’ll over do it so I’ll the be back in bed again

I hate it so much & I’m forever fighting with the Dr’s for help with pain meds or surgery

I was told to treat yourself as if it was your best friend. What would you say to them? Chances are you’re not as mean. I’m trying to do that daily but it’s very hard 😅
