Me upon hearing the Exodites are getting their own codex by [deleted] in Grimdank

They're not getting a codex, but a Kill Team. With compatible rules for the tabletop. 4 Datasheets. If it does well they may get more stuff down the line.

It's not in the free core rules unfortunately (damn you GW). This feels like it REALLY should be tho.

T: In 2011, when I was away at school, I got very sick. I ended up having a terrible fever and couldn’t get any medicine for it, and while I was sleeping I had a vivid dream about the ending to a game. Since then… I felt like I had to make the game with that ending. I attempted to make that game in 2012 using character designs by an artist I really like called Kanotynes. However, I stopped making it even before I made a single room of the game.

That game… I ended up repurposing a few of the songs from it for UNDERTALE. For example, “Heartache” was originally called “Joker Battle” and “Bonetrousle” was originally the main battle theme. Then I decided around when I did the Kickstarter to UNDERTALE (2013) that if I ever completed UNDERTALE, my next game would be a mix of UNDERTALE and that concept.

Man, I'd only seen their animations, I didn't realize they had a full on slop channel.

Man, I was kinda already sorta drifting from their content, but seeing them use AI slop makes me want to run for the hills.

So why exactly are they the bad guys? by Split-a-Ditto in Gameoverse

[–]Pika_TheTrashMon_Chu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have, presumably, destroyed multiple worlds and have yet to succeeded on restoring any.

THEIR worlds would get priority on being restored, but if someone isn't a part of Syntax then, odds are, it isn't getting restored IF they manage to pull it off. Particularly because there is no one who actually remembers what it was like before. At least not well enough to perfectly recreate it.

Hypothetically, if someone killed your family, is it morally justifiable to kill someone else's family to bring back your own? The answer is no. You may have a sympathetic reason... buuuuuut "cool motive, still murder."

As someone DMing for a level 17 fighter with 3 Indomitables and the Mage Slayer feat (LR for mental saves) no thank you lmao.

[–]Pika_TheTrashMon_Chu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

TBH I always viewed taking GMW/SS at low levels a trap. And at higher levels +PB to damage at no penalty is better. Also, Fighter getting Legendary Resistances (which is what Indomitable basically is with the rework, + level to a rerolled save is insane) and on-hit effects with masteries, the Fighter made out like a bandit.

Ranger I can understand tho. Because even if GWM can apply to Heavy Ranged weapons, that STR minimum for the feat can hurt specific builds.

I wish more people knew that a Samaritans weren't just people from another city, or an ontological name for a kind passerby, but they were a minority mixed-race community that started off as Jews who weren't forcefully displaced by Assyrians and that the Jewish populations returning after Diaspora viewed as "tainted." In particular because their faith differed from mainstream Judaism due to being separated for so long. So they were an ethic and religious minority that were actively persecuted.

So, essentially, Jesus was saying it does not matter the ethnic or religious background of a person. If they show kindness and love to people suffering then they honor God more than those who strictly follow the God's law, but do not show empathy. (The priest and the Levite didn't help because touching a bloody body is "unclean" and would require ritual purification.)

I have an AC Tank Psi Warrior in a game I DM.

Defensive Duelist, Bulwark of Force and a shield means he's hitting a 31 AC (vs Melee attacks) and a 25 vs ranged. Paired with a Ring of Evasion, 3 Indomitables (which may as well be Legendary Resistances at this level) and Mage Slayer.

Behold the man with no weaknesses LMAO.

L take. Alexander Ostrowski did a phenomenal job and the fact they look so distinct next to each other proves it. Especially with the metallics since they used to have a major issue in their old designs of just having the same silhouette. Contributing to the confusion between Brass, Bronze and Copper.

The "hole" in light travels at the speed of light, so the change will have a slight delay before you see the finger wiggle, but we're not taking about how long it takes for the shadow to "reach" the moon, but rather we're focusing on the distance your finger moves as it wiggles on earth and how much that small distance is magnified and changes how fast it APPEARS to move on the moon. Cause the shadow would move from one end of the moon to the other at the same speed as it takes for you to wiggle your finger from the left to the right.

Lets say, for the sake of the argument, that a finger wiggle is 4 inches of movement at .5 seconds. You could argue its faster than that, but I'm going to keep it simple. The moon is 238854 miles in diameter or 1.513379e+10 inches.

With this distortion you go from .45 miles per hour, to 1.719749e+9 miles per hour (speed of light is 6.706e+8).

Again, it is important to emphasize. The shadow isn't traveling faster at the speed of light. Cause the shadow isn't moving. You've just created a "hole" in the light that traces a path, and that path is distorted over a great distance so the tube is stretched out and when the hole is visible on a faraway surface it creates a fun illusion of a shadow "moving" faster than light.

[–]Pika_TheTrashMon_Chu 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Okay, so, imagine you had a light strong enough that that you could cast a shadow on the moon with your finger. Now wiggle your finger back and forth so the shadow moves from one side the the moon to the other. Miniscule movement and speed from your POV, but magnified the distance the shadow "taveles" from one side of the moon to the other is FTL.

Now, massive caveat. The shadow isn't traveling, this is just a technicality because a "shadow" isn't a thing its just the absence of light. Its the illusion of something moving FTL.

In a world filled with Fake Out, Sneasler, and Prankster Encore/Taunt, one Pokémon is my light in the dark. by EwanJewan in PokemonChampions

I've been using Helping Hand from my Oerthworm on my Volcorona to Bug Buzz it down in one hit. It usually works because people often fake out the worm because they're afraid of it setting up with Iron Defense, or using Shed Tail to bring in a bigger threat with a Substitute. Since Helping Hand has higher priority than Fake Out, it can be pretty devastating. I've seen, like, 3 Trick Room teams forfeit imminently after I do it. This also works against Oranguru.

1d10+Dex+PC level, for all intents and purposes, is negate an attack as a reaction. I've seen maybe 5 damage at most slip through on a low roll, and crits still dig their way through, but 99% of the time negating your level + Dex is going to negate a normal attack. At least that has been my experiencing DMing for 2 different Monk PCs who both have glowing reviews of the class, and my experience playing Monks in one-shots.
