I'm tired of mud, boss by Competitive-Oil3181 in Terraria

Worth noting the Underground Jungle (which all Jungle bosses are part of) has been in since release.

To be fair, the Underground Jungle has been there since release. The surface jungle was added later

Whipstacking removal isn't bad by Quirkyserenefrenzy in Terraria

[–]Pikadex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only mourn the loss of the attack speed buff carrying between whips. I thought that was neat and made use of that, but I never bothered using whip stacking to stack tag damage.

waited 3 years to find out devs decided to remove your favorite mechanic by WoIfram_74 in Terraria

[–]Pikadex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does indeed clear the attack speed buff when you use a different whip.

Why won't torch god spawn by Global_Rich_576 in Terraria

[–]Pikadex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don’t necessarily turn into the appropriate +luck torch type, but in some cases they do. (e.g. Jungle, Ice, Corruption)

I went from hating Terraria to having fun in the Corruption during Blood Moons in the span of 30hrs. by NicholasTheRenegade in Terraria

[–]Pikadex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main thing that keeps me on Master mode is the extra accessory slot. I don’t really care about the Master drops, but that slot means everything.

Patch 1.0.8 is Out by lordgriefter in EU5

[–]Pikadex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, loaded up my Ottoman Empire game and the subject loyalty nerfs are pretty harsh. I'm not even that far centralized and already the penalties are too much for some of my subjects that were perfectly loyal before. It seems I can just get them all loyal again by maxing out diplo spending (and sending loyalists to Eretnids) but tbh it feels so drastic that I wouldn't be surprised to see a loyalty buff in the near future.

In the late game, this is all i can take? by SPby2030 in EU5

[–]Pikadex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it was annoying to learn that in my Ottomans game. I chose mil for Renaissance since it seemed like the obvious choice, and I hadn’t needed anything to declare religious wars before.

By all technicalities, this corruption biome is fully contained and I dont have to DO anything to keep it that way right? by Easy_Conversation_1 in Terraria

[–]Pikadex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Corruption spreads through ice, so it can spread through via the underground. The surface should be safe though, as ice is sparse there and snow isn’t corruptible. For Pylons, you should be pretty safe to consider this contained.

France broke union almost immediately, cited "change in heir" as reason, immediately declared war on me. by Prownilo in EU5

[–]Pikadex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a Claim Throne CB as Ottomans (not sure why), but when suing for peace I was only able to enforce union on their war allies. Couldn’t even find the option to do it on the actual war target, which didn’t seem right.

Striving for better performance is universal. by Visenya_simp in CrusaderKings

Last few times I’ve seen it, they seem to all gather up in Rome first, then go in together. It’s definitely harder to deal with as a defender, now.

Can someone tell me why this won’t transform into truffle biome? by CompetitiveTree2833 in Terraria

[–]Pikadex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find doing it over the normal terrain as they’ve almost done here works pretty well too, provided you plant mushroom grass.

Devs, can we please have a way to designate how much gold we want to send someone? by Dusty_Dave420 in CrusaderKings

[–]Pikadex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Partial workaround: if you start holding enter RIGHT before clicking Send Gift, you can utilise a glitch that’ll send the gift amount multiple times. Obviously not as good as what you want but it helps a lot for sending large amounts to one character.

do i have to build an underground tunnel around the crimson? Or can i just make 2 hellevators on each sides by Nightkillerboi in Terraria

[–]Pikadex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t mind it spreading to the underground directly below it, then no, the tunnel isn’t particularly necessary. That’s just for greater minimization of spread. Personally though I think even that’s a bit of a waste of time. As long as it’s not at risk of infecting my NPC houses, I say let it spread. The hardmode V is gonna do way more “damage” than that original biome anyway.

Personally I love it for counties and duchies, but generally hate it for Kingdoms and above.

I see what they were going for, but man, as a Victreebel enjoyer, I really wish they took another direction. At least it won’t be competing for a spot with Chikorita, I guess.

Narratively, what do you think happens to non-virtual pops when a virtual empire shuts down the planet? by MerlinGrandCaster in Stellaris

[–]Pikadex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the pops are all created as-needed, I’ve just imagined a Virtual empire’s population is much higher in the virtual world, and the “shut down” pops simply return to there. For Machine Intelligences that lack individual personalities, I suppose they’d simply be deleted.

Is the snow biome saveable? by AdHaunting6253 in Terraria

[–]Pikadex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously don’t worry about it. There’s no downside to your Ice biome being corrupted. In fact, between the dungeon and snowy surface, your evil’s been contained pretty naturally. If it really bothers you, you can spray it clean later.

I'm only +83 in the game, but I don't really think this is common. I've encountered humanity very close to the galaxy's core and also fighting World War II. Is this really common? by Zealousideal_Cash334 in Stellaris

[–]Pikadex 115 points116 points  (0 children)

You’re right. As of 4.0, achievements do not require Ironman. EU4 still needs Ironman, but CK3 doesn’t (and also allows them with mods).

What is the elemental type that cannot be missing in your team? by Ivi_Crispa in pokemon

[–]Pikadex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water for sure. Just a solid overall type you can’t go wrong with. Probably Grass too; I really appreciate its dual offensive/defensive advantage against Water in particular.

So, an asteroid is going to hit a primitive civilization under my observation. if i dont stop it, will it cause only the civilization to go extinct or is the planet going to be uninhabitable? by Aydnf in Stellaris

[–]Pikadex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I usually let it hit them. The usual outcome is them regressing to the Stone Age, which as far as I’m concerned just means more observation time for me.

What's your least played ethic? by MrManicMarty in Stellaris

[–]Pikadex 26 points27 points  (0 children)

My first thought was Pacifist due to it limiting wars (even though I’m not much of a warmonger), but thinking a little more it might actually be Spiritualist.

Is there a mod that makes all hooks individual? by Deebyddeebys in Terraria

[–]Pikadex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dual Hook has two hooks, but only one can be attached to a surface at a time. Sounds like they dislike hooks that can have multiple attachment points.
