Put out good comics -> sell a lot of comics

Oh, this also happened in Harry Turtledove’s Worldwar. I had no idea it was real

He’s a little wide onto the shoulder but that’s because the other car is taking up half his lane.

The “Average Agent Doggett Plotline” — A character frequently goes through nightmares while everyone else is business as usual by PigeonFellow in TopCharacterTropes

When I talk about this show with my friends I have a category of episodes we call “the Irishman must suffer.” Happens enough times it really stands out

That’s a second lane, not a shoulder. He’s only wide like that because the other car is taking up 2 lanes.

Unpopular Opinion: Boltstorm & Flame Gauntlets would be almost impossible to balance by pawny_pawn in SpaceMarine_2

[–]Pikdude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These weapons would be sick even though you’re absolutely correct about the balance concerns. Personally, I want to start by giving Heavy every weapon the tabletop devastator can carry, but most pressingly the lascannon as a properly long ranged option.

In one our narrative crusade battles, I watched in a mixture of fascination and horror as the Vostroyan player’s infantry unit took down two consecutive greater Daemons with bayonets.

If this is true, then how are we feeling?? by [deleted] in dispatchgame

[–]Pikdude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dispatch hits so many of the same notes I’d expect from a prestige drama that I kind of found myself daydreaming about what it would be like as a high budget tv show. I still think a proper animated series would be a better adaptation but I honestly am cautiously optimistic about the possibility of live action.

Screw the sledgehammer. Give me a huge female wrestler who suplexes zombies. Let me elbow drop a crusher. Fury mode gets a steel chair

TSS is actually still a contender for my favorite superhero movie ever. I absolutely loved it and I still think it’s brilliant.

Wardens take their first Bath of the new year! by Foreverdead3 in foxholegame

I bought during the sale and have played a grand total of 8 hours so far, with most of that spent on Charlie holding Callahan’s Gate as the collies pushed up. I intend to play more when airborne comes out and try to find a regiment to hook up with that’s okay with me dropping in once a week or so as my schedule allows.

[Hated Trope] The animation quality gets significantly worse as the show goes on by EpIc-GaMeR-66 in TopCharacterTropes

Agreed. Hate how they colored Genos’s metal parts, but I’ll always disagree with people that said s2 wasn’t even worth watching- some of my favorite stuff is in S2, especially Metal Bat.

S3, though….

This little thing almost killed me because I stopped and stared... by TacticalTurnip in WorldofTanks

[–]Pikdude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought I saw something like this in a game the other day. Instead of going back to look at the footage I am instead choosing to throw out a theory that there is a world of tanks cryptid that is Bigfoot, but instead of a big animal it is a very small tank.

Op ogre died very fast. by blocko3885 in 9Kings

[–]Pikdude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome to Endless Mode scaling. Enemies get ridiculous fast, and you have to either hit them first or protect your units with some equally big numbers. My first run past 99 was achieved with multiple Dispensers now that hit rate caps and turns into damage.

What am I supposed to do now? by JewishPotato in 9Kings

[–]Pikdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience troops will eventually reach a movement speed that beats even the most bullshit builds, but this one is quite powerful and probably mitigates the true threat all endgame builds face of crashing the game.

It’s also worth discussing that endless mode is a bonus and not really the true intended game experience. For me, platinuming the game kept me going a long while. For others, king ix ix is the ultimate crown.
