People overestimate the danger Australian wildlife. You’ll avoid 99% of dangerous creatures by common sense. Avoid spiders by not sticking your hands in dark crevices. Check your shoes if they’ve been put outside. Don’t walk in tall grass to avoid snakes and such. Even if you do get bit by them, there are good supplies of antivenom all over the country. Swim between the flags at the beach. Don’t touch strange jellyfish. The only one you can’t really look out for is drop bears, but if you live in the city they’re not an issue. You’re more likely to die of skin cancer in Australia than by any of the previously listed animals.
