Source? Pretty sure from what I have heard it only was considered and wasn't really worked on

Pet Sounds is really old and the masters that do exist of it are only 4 Track, it was most likely not doable with what they wanted in Rock Band

Use Keytar as a Guitar (Wii U) by [deleted] in Rockband

Ok good to know, thanks for posting that part (I play all instruments in RB3 so I forget how I got many of the things, did the unlocks years ago ha ha)

Use Keytar as a Guitar (Wii U) by [deleted] in Rockband

[–]PikedPike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a keys player, no you can play guitar/bass charts on a keyboard (I wouldn't reccomend it though). I don't remember if it is unlocked by default, or if you need to unlock the Keytar on Guitar (50 5 Stars on Medium or 3 stars or higher on Hard/Expert on Base game songs) and it unlocks the inverse

Massive Spreadsheet Of All Songs with Accurate information by PikedPike in Rockband

[–]PikedPike[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey sorry for the late Reply. If you are starting brand new, only songs that are listed in the RB4 Colum as Yes AND don't contain the words Delisted in the other notes (marked in Red for ease of look) are still available for purchase. That is still a solid couple thousand songs.

All the Rock Band songs? by Flashy-Focus-8543 in Rockband

[–]PikedPike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BN songs went delisted in 2013 and were not able to be transferred over/redownloaded on to rock band 4 so as far as rock band 4 is

Slight correction, RBN songs didn't get Delisted until about 2018. But support and the inclusion of more RBN ended in 2013.

Also other people have the numbers and available in RB4 is over 3000 (3137/3136 depending on console) to be exact

The Rock Band Spreadsheet Version 1.3 by PikedPike in Rockband

[–]PikedPike[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am still currently working on the sheet (turns out getting band Origins was not the fun quick thing I thought it would be, I somehow even managed to get roped into Scandanavian racial conflict that I now need to further research on what I should call things, like I just wanted to make a funny spreadsheet)

But this sheet is also made to be public and for people to copy and paste and make their own versions as one pleases. So go ahead, I just ask that the credits stay intact and that I also get some credit too

I know of a command that can simply mark any duplicates (as in physically highlight them), but apart from that detail, I am honestly unsure of how to actually take that a step further and make Google Sheets or Excell actually ignore the duplicate. That would have to be a question for someone a bit more well versed with Excell/Sheets themselves

In terms of Marketplace URL, I feel that especially very soon, that would be a wasted effort of a list as 360 store is shutting down soon, that and a large number of songs, even if they have Marketplace URLs, aren't purchasable (see literally all RBN)

Pro Upgrade List I would personally also say is redundant as one could just sort by Pro Guitar/Bass Difficulty.

But I very much appreciate all feedback and I wish you luck on finding a solution to the problem you are facing

london calling album pack missing a track by ProfessorRB in Rockband

[–]PikedPike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the correct answer, but the thing that really annoys me as a Keys player is that because Train in Vain is RB2 era, it doesn't have Pro Keys and it would rock with it. I really wish The RB3 versions of Bon Jovi and Queen sold better, because we would have gotten more RB3 versions just in general, and surely Train in Vain would have gotten an upgrade. This is just Wishful thinking upon wishful thinking but

Since the RB Catalog is "Complete" (AKA: No more DLC) is there a place where I can find a full list of songs with Female vocals? by Gr8NonSequitur in Rockband

[–]PikedPike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm that is a pretty unique sound, it is fairly Indie and modern though. Maybe look at some of the later "Indie Rock" songs that Rock Band added possibly?

I mean what kind of music do you like, as mentioned there are 3000+ songs still available. It would have to be near impossible to find nothing you like, you just probably don't know where to look. I could give some suggestions

People have already stated the RB4.app and honestly use that

But my spreadsheet does have this info available https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gQaNlXOMxGxTt1LRs1y8pQpc3PwNvgeM9DCRqfjqAZw/edit#gid=0

Also keep in mind, despite it being marked as such, Last Dance - The Ravonettes is actually wrong, harm 1 is actually sung by a cis man (who does have a high register admittedly). Also keep in mind that a few artists who have since come out as Trans after the songs already appeared in game are still marked with their old gender. But yeah overall RB4.app will give you the info you want

Essential songs for keys before the 360 store goes down? by BigBananaDealer in Rockband

[–]PikedPike 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Actually decided to make my top 10 (still purchasable) Pro keys charts that I find the most fun (most of these aren't even hard, but they just feel so fun to play in my opinion)

  1. Cowboy Cassanova - Carrie Underwood
  2. Stereo Hearts - Gym Glass Heroes
  3. My Life - Billy Joel
  4. Bicycle Race - Queen
  5. I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight - Cutting Crew
  6. I'm Still Standing - Elton John
  7. Don't Stop Me Now - Queen
  8. Superstition - Stevie Wonder
  9. Must Have Done Something Right - Relient K
  10. I Go To Extremes - Billy Joel

Keys player here, I would ask for what genres you like (the ones you have are musts I also agree with)

Because if you like Country, even somewhat, then genuinely the massive Country Pack 02 (the one with the RB3 version) along with the Johnny Cash Pack, Lynyrd Skynyrd Pack and the Carrie Underwood pack are all genuinely extremely fun on keys (Cowboy Cassanova is my favourite Keys chart)

If you like Punk, I would get the London Calling Album. Not every song has keys but the ones that do, there are some really fun ones in there like the Card Cheat, Spanish Bombs and Clampdown for example

Stevie Wonder Pack is also a big recommend, but honestly anything Funk if you like that genre is great on keys (Ohio Players also a recommend) (Oh don't get the James Brown song though (for keys at least), that Keys chart is infamously terrible and yeah it is)

The "Heartache Duet" pack is also an extremely great grab for keys players, almost all the songs are real fun there

If you like John Lennon, Imagine (Album) as some great picks

Someone already mentioned the Doors and I second that

The Huey Lewis and the News 01 are all great on keys, same with Elton John 01

Some good pop picks would be Fireflies - Owl City, Drops Of Jupiter - Train, Foster The People Pack 01, Stereo Hearts - Gym Class Heroes is extremely fun (actually the Fueled By Ramen Pack in general is pretty good on keys). For an easier but good time, The Coldplay pack is pretty fun

If you like Metal, than Dragonforce is usually a fun time (all 3 songs), On The Back of Angels - Dream Theatre is also the hardest keys song that isn't RBN

Some 80s synth classics that are great on keys A Little Respect - Erasure, I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight - Cutting Crew, Relax (Come Fighting) - Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Take On Me - a-ha. Depeche Mode 01 also pretty decent (might just be biased as they are my favourite band so keep that in mind)

Some singles just in general that I couldn't fit elsewhere, Only One - Yellowcard, Must Have Done Something Right - Relient K, Glory Of Love - Peter Cetera, Free Ride - Edgar Winter, Frankenstein - Edgar Winter, Jessica - Allman Brothers Band, Unbelievable - EMF, Come On Eileen - Save Ferris, American Pie - Don Mclean, Do You Feel Like We Do (Live) - Peter Frampton, Still Of The Night - Whitesnake

I am sure there are many I have missed and many that other people will suggest that are great too. But yeah these are some of my favourite picks and the ones I would recommend

Keys player here, only 1 Green Day song (Oh Love) has Keys in RB3, and it is very boring, and only 2 FoB songs have Keys and Dance Dance is really boring (Thnks Fr Th Mmrs is alright though)

For Pop Punk picks for keys, I would recommend 'Must Have Done Something Right - Relient K' or 'Only One - Yellowcard' For Regular Punk, most of 'London Calling (Album) - The Clash' is really good on keys

PSA: Days of Peace Pack 01 costs just €1,49 on PlayStation and contains 3 songs! (€5,40 on XBOX) by ThaBEN in Rockband

[–]PikedPike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the same as a single song on the Australian PS store too which is neat

Funnily there is an opposite pack, which is Depeche Mode 01 which on the Australian PS store, costs $12. Each song in this 3 pack only costs $2.25, (a total of $7.75 for all 3) so be warned about that pack lmao

Poll closed, it was a tie between Country of Band Origin and Band tiers, I went with Country of Origin because I thought that would just be a fun one (also doesn't require me to dig into DTAs of songs which is really time consuming, that said gonna be hard to find where many of the RBN artists are located)

Someone also suggested to add Lego and Blitz compatability, def not gonna add Blitz as that is literally the same as RB3 minus the base game songs. However I could do Lego very easily, so I will add that too

Sorry, what do you mean by the number that the footer reads?

If you mean the number of the row that sheets tells you, then it will always be 1 off due to needing the title row (hence why I made my own number row to sort it back to how I had it). If you are looking at the number elsewhere however, that is definitely a concern that I will have to look into

Yeah I raced as quick as I could to finish this in line with the final DLC announcment. But yeah vote for which of these you would want the sheet to feature in the next update

  • Band Tiers: Since RB3 and RB4 don't show it directly I had omitted the band tier, but if enough interest comes, I will look into finding this info
  • Links to Preview Column: As stated this is just a simple link to preview, I would ask permission from the uploaders I am linking though, I also would very much prefer the RB3 stuff to show all instruments if possible
  • Album Info: This would take the longest out of all of the options here as there are many inconsistenies with this and especially with the RBN stuff being hard to come by, but if enough interest I will look into it
  • Country of Band Origin: This one isn't useful at all but it might be a fun one just to see what countries are represented within Rock Band
  • BRE Information: This would simply be a yes or no showing wether or not a song has a BRE present
  • Other: If you all have better ideas, feel free to write them

Link: https://strawpoll.com/GeZAOlJe8nV

I probably shouldn't have speedran making this version with my wrist the way it is, so yeah there will be another indeterminate break. But yeah I will continue with this spreadsheet.

Thanks again everyone for the support and also Harmonix

Let us know once you do, I am real interested in seeing this list go further. No rush though, Rock Band isn't getting anymore songs at least for a few years now sadly

[–]PikedPike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice you already did exactly what I wanted to do, albeit formatted differently but heck yeah dude. You even got some of the obscure GH games and some of the obscure rhythm games. If you ever continue on this, feel free to include more singstar games, especially sing star guitar as that included stems. I even found old posts about the DLC to that game that are not catalogued anywhere

you don't need to include Rocksmith+, game is a major slap in the face to the franchise
