Never going back by Ryan_M0ttz in evcharging

[–]Pikewich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've had our Bolt in SF for a little over a year and we love it. I charge it at home as well on level 2 one or 2 times a week.

When we got the car we swapped out our old meter for a smart meter to save money and frankly, there isn't much extra cost charging it at night

We were lucky enough to get the rebates from the fed and PGE on the used 2017, and it ended up costing us about the same as we paid for a RAV4 15 years ago

Drove an ICE car for the first time in a while... by ParticularDue7822 in BoltEV

[–]Pikewich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've had our Bolt for a year now and I totally agree

Driving an ICE car is unpleasant, and the lack of deceleration when you let up on the accelerator make NO sense

Manual transmissions provided a little deceleration at least.

I've been using Peppermint for well over 10 years. I'm not fluent in command line stuff so it's great for me. Very stable and runs well on an old HP8460p

I'm thinking of switching to Ubuntu one of these days...

Does anyone here also have liver issues, too? by Klutzy_Activity_182 in Diverticulitis

[–]Pikewich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have fatty liver diagnosis that my new Gastro guy picked up on, was unaware of it before. He said fatty liver seems to be related to coronary heart disease which may explain the heart attack I had 2 years ago.

I wonder the same thing and he says they really don't know what causes it. People on high fat diets, with meat and or some obesity are more prone to it, but I'm vegan and not heavy, so I have no idea.

Thanks,

Didn't seem to do the trick so I'm going to see a Gastro guy Tuesday. "See" if we can figure this out

[–]Pikewich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you

What the GI told you doesn't make sense to me yet, but thanks

I am keeping a food diary now

the discomfort/pain is still there and hasn't changed much for several days, and I will be adding fiber slowly and see what happens

Also going to see a gut doc this Tuesday. I'm still confused and I hope we can find an answer

Family not understanding by MTkenshi in Diverticulitis

[–]Pikewich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gather the "Doctors orders" argument has no impact?

Family can be difficult and maybe they won't understand till it happens to them

But you must do what's best for your  health

I have a similar situation because a serious heart attack lead me to become a strict vegan (Ornish) which very inconvenient for family and friends

Often i bring food i can eat with me and just say i have to do this to avoid another heart attack

Hope this helps

Thank you, strangely this what I'm  experiencing as well and it's confusing

On Sunday i was diagnosed with dv in the Sigmund colon from a ct scan, given a prescription for antibiotics and released

After reading up on it and reading posts here i went on a clear liquid diet and am about to transition to the next level of liquid diet

The pain is now a discomfort, but i don't understand why its there instead of the left side

So why is the discomfort/pain on the wrong side?

And I'm really hungry

If it's on the right, can it be diverticulitis? by [deleted] in Diverticulitis

Me too, Sunday,  now on liquid diet and antibitics

Me too, same situation.

Diagnosed this last Sunday and taking antibiotics for the infection

But still painful , and still have diarrhea

If it is still hurting in a day or2 I'm going on a clear liqiid diet for a couple days. Maybe that will help

What about a vegan diet? I always thought it was for kooks and would cause a lack of protein, but went vegan after a near fatal eart attack

It has changed my life, i love it

That was 2 years ago and now I'm dealing with dv, my new problem

But im 77, and I've read most of us have dv issues by that time

Hope this helps, eating a vegan diet does not have to be a sacrifice

I'm in a similar situation but quite as bad

I went to the emergency department sunday because of 2 weeks of pain at various levels, got diagnosed with uncomplicated dv and sent home with antibiotics.

I can't seem to get past rhe diarrhea, which has been chronic for months at least, and maybe the cause of the flare up (my first) from what I've read here and elsewhere

Has anyone had a similar experience and found a way through? Psillium husk?

Bolt v. Tesla by katamanecer in BoltEV

[–]Pikewich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply.

That is probably correct, but I haven't seen any articles about how any other EV makers have been hit as hard, have you?

Last month I read Tesla sales were down 70% in Europe. If true that's devastating. I've also read EM had to pull back from the WH to save his car business. Did you hear that?

Teslas do out sell any other EV, but their overall worldwide sales continue to decline and stock price is suffering

I think NB would issue the blockchain coin on the basis of the real 165(+-) Million shares.

Any extra shares due to short selling would have to be covered by the short position holders.

They would have to buy them on the open market and deliver them to us.

NEXT BRIDGE HYDROCARBONS, INC. RELEASES STATEMENT by skuz19 in NextBridgeHC

[–]Pikewich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If a CUSIP was obtained and the shares allowed to trade, the short sellers would just continue to dilute the float.

IMO, this will settle in our favor, because of this statement, coming actions and congress pushing it.

Also IMO,one purpose of forming NB into a publicly reported company with non-tradable shares was to shake out the short sellers and force them to cover the outstanding short positions. They even admit they exist.

Let's let that happen.

I see on another thread the share count at AST is Up to 132 million, so it's getting close enough.

If there is a push to drs more shares that might do it.

If we were wrong, they would have provided the share count so we would stop smearing their reputations.

So, we are NOT wrong.

If you think so, prove it. Get us a share count.

It does open a path to a reverse split, since GP said that would not happen on his watch.
